September 4, 20232 yr I was expecting Claire Richards to fall out of the Top 200, to still be Top 50 is a surprise.
September 4, 20232 yr as a named performer, yes. he has of course had top 10s before as a producer for Ed Sheeran and others And of course Fred Again has also co-written several number ones including George Ezra's 'Shotgun' (as well as Ed's #1s from No. 6 Collaborations Project). About time he had a top ten hit as an artist tbh! Edited September 4, 20232 yr by Mangø
September 5, 20232 yr Kylie a non-mover today (Tuesday Mids) at #19 with Tension and Padam, Padam up to #64.
September 5, 20232 yr thats a good hold for Kylie, she could get close to top 10 if she moves enough physical singles
September 5, 20232 yr When was the last time we: 1) had 5 different number 1s in 5 consecutive weeks? 2) had a streak of 4 different number 1s by 4 different female artists? 3) had a streak of 4 different number 1s by 4 different female artists each doing 1 week at the top?

Answers for the first two, the chartheads can do the rest x (Although I might be wrong in some places, you know me lol): 1: December 2021-January 2022: Ladbaby (feat. Ed & Elton) followed by 'Merry Christmas' (Ed & Elton) followed by Easy On Me (Adele), ABCDEFU (Gayle) & We Don't Talk About Bruno (Encanto) 2: If features do apply then it happened between September & December last year (I'm Good, Unholy, Anti-Hero & AIWFCIY).
September 5, 20232 yr That Kylie stan needs to hurry up and start sharing the detailed breakdowns now she's in the top 40 again lmao.

Thanks! How about lead artist?
September 5, 20232 yr We had 5 different #1s in 5 weeks very recently with 'Food Aid' / 'Last Christmas' / 'Escapism.' / 'Pointless' / 'Flowers'. Part of a run of 8 consecutive weeks without any 2 in a row having the same #1, although that did include 2 non-consecutive weeks for 'Last Christmas'. The last time there were 4 #1s in a row led by female artists would appear to be in February to April 2011 when there were 5 in a row (Kesha's 'We R Who We R', Jessie J's 'Price Tag', Adele's 'Someone Like You', Nicole Scherzinger's 'Don't Hold Your Breath' and Jennifer Lopez's 'On The Floor'). 2 of those had male features of course. Per the Music Week sales report last week there's never been 4 #1s credited only to female solo artists in a row unless you count 'Just Dance' on a technicality, not sure if it's ever been done by all-female songs including groups and collaborations. I don't think it's likely the last of those achievements has ever happened, although also a fair chance it won't happen this time either as Doja may well have multiple weeks at #1. If you just mean 4 weeks in a row with a new #1 led by female artists it happened in 2000 if you count Madison Avenue (alongside Britney Spears, Billie Piper and Sonique who would have 3 weeks at #1). I didn't check back any further than that as I think before the 21st century it was very rare to have 3+ 1 week #1s in a row full stop let alone all by female artists.

Madison Avenue is a male/female duo
