September 14, 20232 yr maybe Westlife could have another #1 againnif they release physical singles :o ;)
September 14, 20232 yr It wasn't a subtle hint but I'd be down for an Oasis comeback. I still have my doubts it will ever happen though. They are too legendary to not get back together at some stage imo!
September 14, 20232 yr We could also see Blink-182 return to the Top 40 again in a few weeks, and potentially Take That if they release some physicals! I’m not sure this would be a huge shock given Blink 182 had a top 40 hit last year.
September 14, 20232 yr I don't know about a #1 but Westlife have done very well on downloads/physicals before so I imagine a brand new single could see them get a pretty high peak. I agree with Dan that if Oasis ever do reform, the first brand new single could debut very high up on hype alone especially if physicals were involved and potentially even a #1 contender if the stars were to align. But that's a particularly hypothetical scenario given we're talking about the Gallagher brothers lmao. As for Britney, I do think she could have a decently peaking hit if she were to release something that was less of a monstrosity than the Manjobee thing, although god knows what her actual level of involvement with that was.
September 14, 20232 yr Beitney has been in the studio with Danja again so I like to believe that the will.i.stop stuff has indeed now stopped!!! I PRAY that she has worked with Danja again. I would love to hear what they could do now!
September 14, 20232 yr Dare I say, a new Oasis track would possibly contend for #1 even without physicals.
September 14, 20232 yr I could definitely see Take That getting a top 40 considering they were able to score top 40 hits (regardless of performance beyond debut week) in the swamp of chart movement of 2016/17. Hopefully the lead single from the new Take That album will comfortably go Top 40.
September 14, 20232 yr Dare I say, a new Oasis track would possibly contend for #1 even without physicals.I really f***ing hope not. But you’re right. Horrendous.
September 14, 20232 yr I really f***ing hope so. But you’re right. Glorious. Corrected that for you :) I do agree that Oasis are probably the one legacy band that would be able to manage #1 without physicals, but I just can't see a reunion taking place. It's been, what, 14 years now and the two of them still hate each other. I don't believe a reunion will happen anytime soon, and anything else is just media trying to hype it up. I'd love to be wrong though.
September 14, 20232 yr I think it’ll happen at some point in the next 30 years, Liam has made it very clear recently that he wants them to reform. But I doubt there will be any new music.
September 15, 20232 yr Oasis will totally go back together for the $$$ and totally will release new music and of course it will be totally shit cos they peaked in 95 and haven't done anything on the same level ever since
September 15, 20232 yr I don't think either of them are strapped enough for cash for them to suddenly reconcile after over a decade of hating each other lol
September 15, 20232 yr Nothing's ever going to be up there with their early albums, but Noel Gallagher's 'Who Built the Moon?' is pretty close for me.
September 15, 20232 yr I thought Kylie and Madonna getting top 40 hits in 2023 was a shocker, but now The Rolling Stones! Whatever next, Cher getting this year's Christmas number one?! Please dear god make this happen  I'd love for her to go top 30 just to have had a top 30 single in every decade since the 60s.
