Doja Cat could stay at #1 for a second week, with Olivia Rodrigo's album set to make an impact. New single releases this week include Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion's latest collab Bongos, The Rolling Stones' return with Angry and Leigh-Anne & Ayra Starr with My Love

 

Olivia Rodrigo is on course for #1 with her sophomore album GUTS, among a busy week of releases including The Chemical Brothers' tenth LP For That Beautiful Feeling, BTS star V's debut set Layover and James Blake's Playing Robots Into Heaven. There's also albums out from The Coral, Laufey, Romy, Roisin Murphy, Tinashe, Teezo Touchdown, Public Service Broadcasting, Sparklehorse, Yussef Dayes, Coach Party, Ashley McBryde and M Huncho - also look out for a re-entry from Ezra Collective following their Mercury Prize victory

 

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Hoping the Ezra Collective album can manage a top 40 re-entry (I forgot it charted as high as #24 before).

 

Also fingers crossed for a decent showing for James Blake although a fair bit of competition this week.

Hope the Romy album does well - it’s brilliant!

Not sure if i understand it 100% correctly, but I think there are 4 extra tracks from Olivia's album hidden in the different versions of the vinyls... that's at least a good way to incentivate fans to buy the vinyls, at least you get a different song, so you don't buy the same same exact thing 4 times :D
