That’s a really good point - it could be largely the publicity making people curious rather than people buying an album to make a political statement.

Well it's almost certainly a bit of both. The well is poisoned regardless.

(fwiw I'm not saying I want her career to be over or that I'll never listen to her music again, just that my enthusiasm over her chart position at this particular time is a bit muted)

That’s how I feel too. The album’s great tbh and I’m almost certainly going to continue listening to it but I can’t get particularly excited about it gaining success from this sort of publicity
James blakeh has no physicals til later in the year

makes sense now.

Sorta Fairytale is a mastepiece <3

I guess James Blake not being in the top 100 now is maybe a good sign that the delayed physical release won't affect his chart position too much. Still though, I don't really get the point of having only a 2 week delay, fair enough if he wanted the album out now but can't get physicals out for months but surely people could have waited the extra 2 weeks! Although tbf I doubt he cares much about chart positions lol
DNA and Rave Out to be top 40 on Friday *prays*
Hope she stays top 40 but a 9 place drop from Sunday to Monday doesn't look promising for leighanne

I think Leigh-Anne might be able to scrape.like a #37 or #38 position which is still really disappointing :(

The song deserves SO much more.

Kylie back in the Top 40 today with ‘Tension’ courtesy of the cassette single sales - queen of physicals.
Kylie queen of avoiding ugly chart runs by pushing for an extra Top 40 week hehe. I wonder if someone on her team is a chart geek.

NO OTHER SALES INFO

Wow at Leigh Anne! Maybe she will make it solidly in! Hoping for top 30 then officially!

Wow Rolling Stones still at 29!

Nice album sales for the no1!

Wow Rolling Stones still at 29!
they're at #28 now, surprised they're holding up at all but I guess more physicals must have dropped?

Relax My Eyes really is due to break that niche chart record of most top 40 weeks spent between 35-40 without peaking any higher then

shame Calvin & Sam aren't looking to make the top 5 now but at least Desire will likely remain a top 10 hit for the next few weeks. at least Fred Again is a good replacement, it's been great seeing Adore U take off a lot more now after it did for a short while look like #12 would remain its peak.

glad Leigh-Anne isn't completely tanking either, the song is a slight improvement over Don't Say Love so doesn't deserve to miss the top 40 altogether given that went as high as #11 - although I guess this one will also get a big second-week drop.

Kylie's label playing the game again to get her a second week top 40 I can't moan about either as it doesn't seem like Tension will end up being a proper streaming hit like Padam was.

Fred again.. now in the top 5 instead of cassö or Calvin, taste wins *.*

Wow at it looking like The Rolling Stones might actually stay in the top 40! Also not too bad of a drop since Monday for Ezra Collective so fingers crossed they can hold on too.

I wasn’t expecting Rolling Stones to have rebounded from Monday and I’d prefer it if Vampire and Bad Idea Right switched places

Happy Leigh-Anne is still at #23. Seems like it will make the top 40 then hopefully. I’m predicting around #35 finish but I am glad it’s not going to miss out.

Incredible album sales for Olivia

Also Bad idea right looks safe for t3

And nice to see Get him back in too

And wow at the Rollings!! Hope they dont miss last minute
