September 25, 20232 yr It climbed back to 5 on itunes so it helped in some way but not enough at this stage. Edited September 25, 20232 yr by Padamic Tension
September 26, 20232 yr How is Howard a homophobe? He was liking anti-LGBTQ+ tweets... whilst accepting offers to play and perform at PRIDE festivals. There's a topic HERE about it (plus more on Google etc..)
September 26, 20232 yr besides Kylie, album sales are terrible, Doja Cat at #3 with 2K is shockingly low
September 26, 20232 yr Take That might have had more sales if Howard wasn’t coming out with his homophobia
September 26, 20232 yr Just read but didn’t he apologise. This label of being homophobic seems to be given to anyone these days that cheapens real homophobia.
September 26, 20232 yr Just read but didn’t he apologise. This label of being homophobic seems to be given to anyone these days that cheapens real homophobia. what makes this not real homophobia though?
September 26, 20232 yr Take That might have had more sales if Howard wasn’t coming out with his homophobia It wasn't that massively publicised, I doubt it impacted their sales much. They'll probably still sell out their stadium tour tomorrow straight away.
September 26, 20232 yr The fact that he apologisedHe only "apologised" because he got caught and the money wasn't coming in due to festivals cancelling his appearances... It's not like it was tweets from 10 years ago either. They were very recent tweets...
September 26, 20232 yr I'm not defending him for liking those tweets but his apology seemed sincere. If he was properly homophobic, I would have thought we'd have known about it sooner? Idk, I'm not defending him but I'm not gonna jump on the 'let's cancel him' bandwagon either.
September 26, 20232 yr So what he should be cancelled for liking a few tweets. I just think there are other important issues that affect us. As gay myself I just think all this doesn’t help at all. I will not say anything more on this as this is supposed to be a forum about charts.
September 26, 20232 yr Take That might have had more sales if Howard wasn’t coming out with his homophobia At this stage, I doubt it's really made any noticeable difference to how it would have performed for them either way. Just read but didn’t he apologise. This label of being homophobic seems to be given to anyone these days that cheapens real homophobia. Of course he's going to "apologise" to try and avert a PR disaster  The mask slipped there and he revealed his true character, that is the crux of the matter.
September 26, 20232 yr I might not even chart despite one show Not a surprise, after 2014’s success with ‘These Days’ their chart fortunes since 2015 have been - Didn’t Chart Didn’t Chart #56 #13 Didn’t Chart Didn’t Chart Didn’t Chart Didn’t Chart They have been an ‘album act’ for years now and I can’t see that changing.
September 26, 20232 yr Honestly think the crossover between people who still care about new Take That music and people who would care enough to boycott it because of some questionable liked tweets is probably close to nonexistent. It wasn't even that big of a news story and I imagine it's largely forgotten at this point (especially as it concerns the least relevant member of the band).
September 26, 20232 yr It wasn't that massively publicised, I doubt it impacted their sales much. They'll probably still sell out their stadium tour tomorrow straight away. who loves to see Gary and 2 old fellas that much? I respect Gary he is a serious act but that 'Take That' pushing is just for publicity after all... Edited September 26, 20232 yr by Charis
