I'm also happy to host. I know it's not really in the 'rules', but I used to host like 4/5 contests a year it felt like at one point when I was a mod (and hosts fell through), so it never goes away! Just know the offer is there :lol:

Will we be getting any official update from the BJSC mods on what’s happening soon? Seems there are multiple hosting options volunteered in this thread.

Volunteers are nice but there’s a clearly defined process that is laid out that is being followed.

Yeah, to be clear, we’re currently discussing a switch up in rules to make this clearer going forward and ensure it doesn’t happen again.

 

Essentially what has happened is (we don’t need to disclose this but just for transparency’s sake as it has been a few days) - the winner has passed on it, the next in line has passed on it, and we’ve now asked the next line. However, we’re now also discussing how far down the scoreboard we go (of people who haven’t hosted before) before it starts to feel a bit meaningless.

 

I don’t think we’ll ever get volunteers to do it as a solution, as I think there should always be a rhyme or reason. It is appreciated that they’ve been made though just in case we were stuck in panic!

I'll be hosting the October Club Bizarre contest which would normally follow the October BJSC so I hope BJSC confirmations will start this week as it's not ideal if there's a big overlap between the two contests. I thought you would have got a bit further than asking two people by now. Roba told us as soon as he won 10 days ago that he wouldn't be able to host.
