October 23, 20232 yr People still have to chose to buy them tbf! Yeah they do. But I don't see the same vitriol aimed at the Stones for milking the fans like Kylie, Taylor etc.
October 23, 20232 yr Nice to see Kylies Tension back in the top 75 singles, hopefully it can get another week in the top 100 this week.
October 23, 20232 yr Yeah they do. But I don't see the same vitriol aimed at the Stones for milking the fans like Kylie, Taylor etc. Because I would assume fewer people here are tracking the Stones' formats tbf (none of them deserve any vitriol imo)
October 23, 20232 yr Lmao oops I was way off thinking it might be close between The Rolling Stones and blink-182 :kink: (tbf should probably have guessed the Stones would bring in huge sales after they managed to get a top 40 single). Super impressive sales for the Stones anyway and still pretty good for blink as well + pleasantly surprised Bombay Bicycle Club are still looking at a comfortable top 5 placement, this era didn't feel like it was making a lot of noise so good that their fanbase are still kicking around. Oh my at Barry Can't Swim being so high too, not sure I'd have predicted that to chart at all... :o
October 24, 20232 yr Rolling Stones/Gaga #100 in the mids?! It’s been released on vinyl and CD which was enough to get ‘Angry’ into the Top 40 so thought there would be more interest in this especially as both fanbases seem to heavily collect physicals.
October 24, 20232 yr I love that Another Love has become this juggernaut but a bit sad to see it overtake Black Friday already
October 24, 20232 yr People had the nerve to say about Kylie and her formats, The Rolling Stones have how many? ! Digital x 2 Cd Digipak Cd Kidsuper artwork edition cd Kidsuper artwork edition cassette Cd+Blu-ray Standard vinyl Blue store-exclusive vinyl HMV purple vinyl Indies clear vinyl Amazon exclusive green vinyl RS Carnaby exclusive Standard picture disc Zoetrope picture disc Barcelona FC Picture disc Paul Smith alternate art version No wonder they have that amount sold! Yes, some fans buy many or all formats. Though way more fans of all artists have ceased buying physicals over the years but still might be tempted to buy 1 only, if there’s a choice or something special about it. Agree, no one deserves criticism for multi formats. I’d never buy or stream their album but if I was a fan and wanted to support them, those choices look tempting, esp the Paul Smith one. I think they were released last week (but still made no impact) Might have been a better idea to put them out this week or the week it was first released.
October 24, 20232 yr SSOH reached #2 on Singles Sales chart last week, but missed the official top 100.
October 24, 20232 yr I think they were released last week (but still made no impact) Might have been a better idea to put them out this week or the week it was first released. Yes probably could’ve done with them being dropped with the single release - I thought there would be enough of an uptake with 2 formats for it to chart I guess especially as they are available at HMV, Amazon etc.,
October 24, 20232 yr I read people complaining online it was quite a expensive vinyl single, priced almost like an album Same like Boygenius, nothing like those 99p singles with free shipping
October 24, 20232 yr I read people complaining online it was quite a expensive vinyl single, priced almost like an album Same like Boygenius, nothing like those 99p singles with free shipping Yes, Rolling Stones have priced their physical singles at £4.99 for the CD and £11.99-£13.99 for the vinyl for Angry & Sweet Sounds Of Heaven. Also the 99p singles don’t seem to be as prominent now that the OCC have stopped signed versions?

October 24, 20232 yr Have they? When did they stop that? A few months ago - signed physical singles are no longer chart eligible which is why artists like Sam Ryder, Leigh-Anne etc., released 99p unsigned CDs.
October 24, 20232 yr What’s the likelihood of Taylor going back to ACR due to increase in streams? Is it 25% extra? I’m guessing her Friday/Saturday streams will have achieved more than that with her releasing a live version and remix? I think the fact she’s #8 in the mid week compared to was it 16th at this point last week means she must be close to the threshold? Unless everyone’s sales are falling Edited October 24, 20232 yr by BellyClarkson

Unless everyone’s sales are falling The song is older than 3 years (and hasn't been out of the top 100 for 3 years) so can't get an automatic reset due to an increase in streams.
