Should be #1 on Friday then.

I’d love if that was the case!

course they're gonna be #1, sure they have tons of physicals sold
but in regards to Cruel summer, isn't there a chart rule that labels can ask for the 2nd or 3rd highest streamed song to be excluded and replaced by the 4th. Pretty sure I remember reading about the rule. And then the excluded track cannot chart for 6 months I think. But pretty sure Taylor can ask for Cruel summer to be excluded if they want to and they prefer something else to chart

but in regards to Cruel summer, isn't there a chart rule that labels can ask for the 2nd or 3rd highest streamed song to be excluded and replaced by the 4th. Pretty sure I remember reading about the rule. And then the excluded track cannot chart for 6 months I think. But pretty sure Taylor can ask for Cruel summer to be excluded if they want to and they prefer something else to chart

Yes that is a rule. I think Dua Lipa’s label did it in 2020 by excluding Physical to allow Hallucinate to chart

I was hoping that Is It Over Now? would’ve died out a bit now the album effect has worn off
Was hoping for a slightly bigger lead for The Beatles from the first full day but great they’ve held #1, and fingers crossed they won’t drop like a mirrorball.

Tbf the cruel summer run has been one giant weird strategy, they only started promoting it 3 weeks ago so anything can happen

On Apple:

#87 Wham! - Last Christmas

#88 Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You

Wham! are up 23 places in the last 24 hours with Mariah down 6. So this might be due to some combining/uncombining of different versions potentially?

The Beatles have massive youtube streams. The above is just from the 2/11 and the song didn't even have a full 24 hours. Interesting to see how big they get (the music video views continue to climb globally now average ~11 million in the last 24 hours with the audio-only video doing 1 million). The Beatles will be #1 with a large lead come Friday in the chart. I wouldn't be surprised if they challenged for 100k+ sales this week.

Edited by Envoirment

Was also hoping The Beatles might have a bigger lead today but still pretty good, I expect today will be their last day at #1 but hopefully they can stick around in the top 10 for a bit longer. Pleasantly surprised that they are still #1 on Apple more than 2 full days after release!

Kworb's YouTube charts are too jank to take without a pinch of salt but if their numbers are correct on this occasion 'Now And Then' did more in its first 10 hours (and that was before the music video release) than 'Sprinter' did to be #1 in the whole of the previous week!

Yes but there's no reason to expect that they'll want to in this case? Especially as they went out of their way to get 'Cruel Summer' reset just last week.

I was hoping that Is It Over Now? would’ve died out a bit now the album effect has worn off

Why it's the ones the fans have chosen as the single, rather than streaming the whole album

oh my, THIS is why HUGE crowds STOP! :cheeseblock:

I know Youtube means almost nothing anymore for the charts, but I can't believe Mariah is already #7. And if The Beatles didn't exist she wouldn't be far from #1. :gino:
