The Rolling Stones getting a new #1 album, Oasis contending for #1 this week, The Beatles on course for #1 with a new song... it's hard to tell what decade I'm living in!

Official Singles/Albums Chart Update Top 100

Source: OCC

Missing Data:

Singles update + MW sales in this post, OCC update at 5:45!

Christmas songs being in this early is ridiculous, I *BEG* they just do a Christmas chart or something soon 😭 I just lose all interest and fail to see how anyone can really give a shit, especially in December.
amazing for the Beatles <3

Edited by Bjork

Good for the Beatles, but I still doubt Thursday / Friday would be the same As today Was.
Anyway, what made Wonderwall & Take On Me re-entering?

Pompeii and Teenage Dirtbag being in the Top 40 is more ridiculous than Mariah and Wham! being there for me!

I guess Oasis won’t hang on - a Beatles / Oasis double would have been cute.

Beatles now on a few thousand sales above what Prada finished on last week. Still doing good streaming numbers too. Definitely an easy done deal now

I’m another one who’d be very much here for some kind of separate chart for Christmas tracks once they’ve been around for a significant length of time.

I think either a holiday chart or some kind of chart what runs all year round of tracks that are over a significant timescale. I do like Christmas songs to an extent but not to the point where I want an almost entire Christmas chart in the lead up to it

I despair too. I get that we all have completely different tastes but I'm somebody who actually loved Mariah in the 90s and bought her Merry Christmas album.in 1994 when it barely dented the top 40 album charts. I did actually love AIWFCIY for the first 25 years (by love, i mean I'd play the album or song a few times in the run up to Christmas or not turn the radio dial if it came on in December) but unfortunately I actually and regretfully have come to despise it now, firstly for its sheer ubiquity for 2 months EVERY year at this time of year but also because it represents how the singles charts have become destroyed for these 2 months every year now.

How is it that people love this song so much indefinitely that they will stream, stream and restream it multiple times every day for the next 60 days in their 10s of 1000s across the country to send it to Number 1 here and practicallyevery other territory on earth? Does anyone actually know anyone in the real world who says this is their favourite song and they will never tire of it or are we all such sheep?

Sorry...rant over...

A Christmas chart would be pretty pointless though you'd have the exact same chart for 2 months with very little movement
Got some humbugs in here only like Christmas song December

Omfg THIS!!!

Yen Marij is comin to slay all your basic male fsve christmas sangs and rule the airwave sand charts!!!

Well it's my fave Christmas song by far and I never tire of it.

I’m glad that Xmas songs don’t get a reset but saying that, I wouldn’t have a problem if OCC decided to only reset Xmas songs that haven’t reached #1
