Sam Ryder, Jorja Smith and even Meghan Trainor keeping things interesting in the Top 40 at least. Laufey and Sabrina Carpenter are just outside. It's good to see some other tracks getting a look in this year despite the obvious playlist lean that's going on.

Why is Cher back in the top 10? Vinyl?

No. The vinyl was released two weeks ago.

Alongside December starting and the performance on Graham Norton, the album is being bolstered by the newly released magazine edition and the cassette.

The Christmas takeover just gets more and more extensive every year! How long until the entire top 40 consists of Christmas songs I wonder?

Poor brave Taylor, missing out on another new top ten hit due to the Christmas takeover!

Peter Gabriel's strategy of releasing every track from his album over the course of the year as a single (every time there was a full moon) probably hasn't helped its sales figures.
Impressed to see Pink back in the top 5 in the albums. No ideas how it’ll hold but I just assumed the rerelease would do nothing.
Santa Tell Me and Underneath The Tree both sitting at their peak, hopefully they’ll beat it asap!

I think she'll be ok...

Weird that Ateez are doing so much better than Stray Kids and Enhypen in the UK.

Stray Kids (and presumably Enhypen too) had a load of UK sales discounted because they came with photocards.

It’s looking like come the week of the Christmas chart, there will be no non-Christmas songs in the top 10 the way things are going. I feel Jack might just about hold in the top 20 but we’ll see.
Can’t bear the Amazon exclusives scamming their way up the charts. But then again if an artist I liked did one I’d be happy to see them do well.
Am I right in thinking Laufey's 'Winter Wonderland' will be the first ever Spotify exclusive song to make the official chart

This is the Buzzjack post of the year #hypocrisy. "It's only okay if my faves are doing well"

Amazon tracks are a mainstay of the chart now and at least they're something new. It's no different to Wham! being #1 because someone has stuck on a Spotify Christmas playlist. These threads just dive into the same argument every year and I guess I'm not helping that matter :kink:

No one said yet why 4 Michael Bublé? When only aloud 3

He's only there 3 times? Depsite the OCC using the wrong picture, it is Elvis' version of Blue Christmas that is charting (unless they've swiftly corrected an earlier mistake credting Michael instead?)

Hopefully Pink can stay top 10 with the new version of Trustfall, Cher definitely on track for a new peak.

The Corrs best of re issue is starting a little better than i though but as much as id love it to stay top 40 i dont thiink it will but it should outpeak their ultimate collection release which made number 67

This is frustrating and those Scamazon tracks preventing them from peaking higher in the top 10

EDIT: Nice to see that it looks like 'You're Losing Me' actually may be a top 40 hit after all. I wonder if both her and Michael could overtake both ATeez & Peter Gabriel in the albums?
