I think Ariana’s Spotify numbers are misleading. Her fan base is very hardcore on getting #1 I think a lot of people are just replaying it over and over purely for that. Once that is over it will drop considerably

Give it a rest already :drama:

I'm not even particularly a fan of the song, but this is so unbelievably tiresome.

Big no at that awful Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike remix of Dido's classic entering :(

I saw this on iTunes in December and it’s faded, no surprise Spotify is a month behind!

I’m gonna quote this back to you if it doesn’t drop out of the top 40 on Spotify on Saturday morning!

Talking about questionable baby-related lead singles from the 00's, it's funny to see Baby By Me by 50 Cent back in the charts. I'm not going to bother asking why.

Can't that be said for any song on here?! We can never know for sure till the midweeks how a song is doing on streaming points!!

I'm sure yes, and? will be comfortably still top five on Spotify this time next week. For a new song to be on over half a million streams daily still a few days after release is impressive for any artist, even if there are, say, 20k repeat fan plays in there it would still be over half a million. It's showing early signs of having legs.
Ariana suddenly down to 11 on Anazon

is Ariana really someone with a crazy fanbase that would listen to the song 55 times a day?

don't think so

I'd actually say yes, but to what scale and what degree of difference that would make remains to be seen.

I like 'Thank You (Not So Bad)', anything to continue the current trance trend and I think it is a good trance remix of the song,
Ariana announced her album for 8th March so I think it could be similar to break my soul of vampire, peaking eeek of/ close to album release, if she doesn’t make #1 now.

If there's one thing the spotify numbers aren't, it's 'misleading'. The spotify charts show exactly how well a song is doing.

I'm not a particular Ariana fan but the numbers/facts are showing that Ariana may well enter at #2 or #3 but is actually quite unlucky because she's pulling a decent level of streams that would have been enough for #1 in a lot of weeks. The track is just not a match for Stick Season which is continuing to do incredibly well.

If you’d told me last month that a 20 year old Sophie Ellis Bextor release would be out streaming a new Ari release I’d have thought you were very ill!

:cheeseblock:

Yeah I’m not big on the Ariana song but it’s certainly showing good stability. Interesting that with her last lead single she got quite a lucky 6 week #1 in a fairly dead period, and this time she might open with higher sales but miss #1.

Yeah she's had a weird balance of lead singles, especially seeing as No Tears Left To Cry was pretty big and missed the top
