I like this Ariana song though. :o It reminds me of any old Kylie song.

Remind my Madonna vogue

Amazing result for Ariana, four lead singles in a row peaking in the top 2, that's seriously impressive in this day and age! :o Such a great song too!
Is this the 4th number 2 for Ariana?

Yep! Following ‘One Last Time’, ‘no tears left to cry’ and ‘Don’t Call Me Angel’ ^_^

Honestly good on her for trying! It’s like no tears… stuck behind a massive song!

Apart from the fact no tears left to cry was actually good

Biography

With an irrefutable aptitude for writing chart-smashing pop songs and a reputation as a pioneer in electronic music, BRIT Award-winning Becky Hill is one of Britain’s most in-demand music artists. Described by David Guetta as “one of the very rare queens of dance of music”, Becky has written and/or performed on 17x UK Top 40 singles, including five Top 10 singles and one UK #1, and amassed over 4 billion streams on Spotify alone. Her BPI certifications total 13x Platinum, 11x Gold and 14x Silver records, and she was the third most streamed British female solo artist on Spotify in 2021, behind only Dua Lipa and Adele. Her Gold selling debut studio album, ‘Only Honest On The Weekend’, released in August 2021 and peaked at #7 on the UK Albums Chart, spawning Platinum-selling UK #3 single ‘Remember’, which also ended the year as one of the most streamed and best-selling songs of 2021. Alongside her solo career, Becky has also collaborated with everyone from Rudimental to Little Simz over the last decade, as well as writing songs for and/or releasing with a whole range of artists; from dance titans like MK, Tiesto and Jax Jones right the way through to pop royalty in MNEK and Little Mix. - Spotify

Biography

As Noah Kahan changes, he casts those experiences onto songs like light through a film projector. At the core of the music’s upbeat energy and unfiltered lyrics, you’ll hear who he was before and who he became — almost in real-time. The Vermont singer still pens songs straight from the heart and still cracks jokes with his signature, self-deprecating sense of humor; he’s just changed in all of the right ways (and chronicled them via his songwriting). He gained that understanding through quite the journey from small town Vermont to global renown. He’s racked up over one billion streams, released two full length albums (Busyhead, 2019 and I Was/I Am, 2021) and a mid-pandemic EP (Cape Elizabeth, 2020), picked up a Gold Certification for “Hurt Somebody” feat. Julia Michaels, and performed on television shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and TODAY. Not to mention, he’s collaborated with everyone from Joy Oladokun to Chelsea Cutler to mxmtoon to Quinn XCII to Gryffin. After 5 years of critical acclaim and global touring, he sought an even purer style of writing and arrangement, a challenge from within to convey a vivid representation of what he loves, fears, and struggles with most passionately. Now, Noah continues to progress with his highly anticipated new album Stick Season out now. - Spotify

Stick season is a stunning song, so deserved of #1. Wonder if his cds and vinyls were counted this eeek when we see the sales
Ariana would’ve knocked that depressing shite off #1 had she released a week earlier

Fair played Noah, what a huge track that just continues to grow and grow.

I think No More Tears Left To Cry was the more surprising No.1 miss than this. It felt like that was going to very easily be a No.1 considering the context and time (and that it's one of the best pop songs of the last decade with an amazing video). I don't feel like her star is *quite* at the same level it was then, or in the 2-3 years after that, but clearly she's still one of the biggest stars on the planet and this is a solid debut for a really good song.

I think a few people trolling here calling that a great song but everybodies taste different I guess. Like I suspected Noah will be #1 for the whole of January. Very catchy song
Ideally Noah/Sam, Zara and Becky hill all smash next week but this wishful thinking lol. Expecting a solid top 10/15 for Noah x Sam tho, and hopefully Becky and Zara make the top 40 at some point

People Trolling for calling something a great song? You’ve said some silly stuff this week but that takes the crown

Stick Season could very well pull off a Dance Monkey at this rate I reckon, that's very impressive for him to beat a lead off Ariana single

Pls give it up x

Poor Nathan Evans. He is #42. Ella's Alibi at #46.
