Posted January 19, 20241 yr It's been three years since the last opportunity to do this and 'yes, and?' has now been in our lives for a week. How does it stack up against her other lead singles for you? The Way (feat. Mac Miller) Problem (feat. Iggy Azalea) Dangerous Woman no tears left to cry thank u, next positions yes, and?
January 19, 20241 yr Author For me at the moment... 01. no tears left to cry 02. Dangerous Woman 03. yes, and? 04. thank u, next 05. positions 06. The Way 07. Problem 'no tears left to cry' is one of the best pop songs of the 2010s for me so a very high bar. At the bottom, I did really like 'Problem' at the time but I think it has aged the worst out of her leads so far. On the flip side, I appreciate 'thank u, next' way more now than I did when it first came out, particularly lyrically. Time will tell how 'yes, and?' moves around but for now that feels about right, my favourite lead of hers since sweetener.
January 19, 20241 yr 1 no tears left to cry yes and problem dangerous women thank u next positions the way
January 19, 20241 yr 1. No Tears Left to Cry 2. Problem 3. Dangerous Woman 4. Yes, and? 5. Thank U, Next 6. The Way 7. Positions I think the fact 'Problem' is so high perhaps shows I don't really rate her lead singles all that much. I'd say the top 3 are really good, 4 + 5 are quite good and 6 + 7 really not good.
January 19, 20241 yr This was slightly tough in the middle section. I’m in agreement that overall her leads aren’t necessarily her at her absolute best (nor are her #1s here in the UK but that’s another matter  ) I think I’d probably say 1. no tears left to cry (stunning  ) 2. positions (This has held up really well and I prefer it now to in 2020) 3. Dangerous Woman (Underrated in terms of peak but feels like one of her most defining tracks now. The production style on this as a lead was rather bold as well) 4. thank u, next (A career definer for sure. I was another one who didn’t immediately click with this but I like it for what it is and the video is a moment) 5. The Way (I’ve always really liked it this!) The perfect launch for her. Robbed of a UK top 40 peak :( 6. Problem (I’m now beginning to enjoy this a lot more after finding it was overplayed in 2014. She’s topped it several times but it feels special that in the UK it’s her big breakthrough). 7. yes, and? (I don’t necessarily dislike it but I didn’t instantly enjoy it as much as others have on here and I probably wouldn’t have replayed it as much as I have across the last week had it been by anyone else. I’m hopeful there’ll be stronger tracks on the album.

January 19, 20241 yr 1 The Way (feat. Mac Miller) 2 no tears left to cry 3 yes, and? 4 Problem (feat. Iggy Azalea) 5 positions 6 thank u, next 7 Dangerous Woman Really not keen on any of the bottom 4 so new one goes 3rd by default.

January 19, 20241 yr 1 no tears left to cry 2 positions 3 yes, and? 4 The Way 5 Problem 6 thank u, next 7 Dangerous Woman The top 2 are miles ahead of the rest but 'yes, and?' is a pretty comfortable 3rd. Her lead singles generally aren't the best stuff on her albums.
January 19, 20241 yr Her lead singles generally aren't the best stuff on her albums. 2nd single is where it's at! B-)
January 20, 20241 yr 1. no tears left to cry 2. yes and? 3. positions 4. Dangerous Woman 5. Problem 6. thank u, next 7. The Way not a fan of the last two, 3-5 are all fine but nothing more. yes and? is pretty good and 'no tears..' is a long way ahead of the rest. One of her stronger songs overall!
January 20, 20241 yr no tears left to cry yes, and? positions thank u, next Dangerous Woman The Way (feat. Mac Miller) Problem (feat. Iggy Azalea) I actually really like most of her leads — the last two less so, especially Problem
January 20, 20241 yr 1. no tears left to cry 2. thank u, next 3. Problem (feat. Iggy Azalea) 4. positions 5. Dangerous Woman 6. The Way (feat. Mac Miller) 7. yes, and?
January 20, 20241 yr 1. No Tears Left To Cry 2. yes, and? 3. thank u, next 4. Problem 5. Dangerous Woman 6. Positions 7. The Way At a point of loving all 7 of these to be honest, and I switched 2 & 3 a few times so it might just be recency bias because I obsessed over TUN at the time too.
January 20, 20241 yr 1. thank u, next 2. no tears left to cry 3. positions 4. yes, and? 5. Dangerous Woman 6. The Way 7. Problem The top three are absolute pop classics for me! 'No Tears Left To Cry' is absolutely stunning but I think I prefer 'thank u, next' a little bit more (naturally, I'm inclined to liking a more hip-hop/r&b-ish sound a lot). I also really love 'positions'! It's grown on me massively since its initial release  'yes, and?' is also excellent, maybe it'll grow on me even more in the coming months and years... I like 'Dangerous Woman' and 'The Way' is decent! Obviously 'Problem' has helped Ari to be where she is today but the song itself is terrible imo
