On the subject of Ariana she did 53k digital/cd/vinyl sales in the US first week just been announced Megan did 95k. I mean that’s a sure sign right there that there is a big drop off on what she can bring to the table at the moment. It looks to me like Megan got Billboard #1 which is nice too if that does get confirmed.

Ariana will be down at the local job centre in no time at this rate :(

Indie acts that never debut top 10 must already be in the poor house!!

Disappointing (but not surprising) that L Devine hasn’t managed to sneak into the Top 100 on the album mids :nocheer: Brilliant album

Because there is absolutely no room for any nuance between having unprecedentedly high sales and her career being completely over.

Oh good figures for Last Dinner Party

Looks like They could do 30k

Ariana can still be successful with theatre or selling perfume but her music career is pretty much done in my opinion but some people will be slow to let go so I guess we’ll just it play out.

Can I have what you are drinking?

The OCC reporting that Cat Janice is dying from cancer and that all proceeds from her track "Dance you outta my head" will go to her son. It is currently No57 midweek. Would love it to go top 40. I must say it is a good song and I have just purchased it on iTunes.

I'd seen that song high up iTunes but didn't know the story behind it, aw! (It is only #74 on the update today though so guessing #57 was its 'First Look' position, or just a typo).

Thats awful news, this song doing well would mean alot to Cat.

How much I missed charts of 90’s - 00’s. Every week there was something to be interested about, real chart battles, you had to be extraordinary to remain No1 for a 2nd /3rd week, Westlife were also there…. This is not a music chart, it’s smrhing else

RE-POST (so they could move the Taylor part to the Taylor thread):

Amazing result for The Last Dinner Party! They're doing about 10k-12k more than I expected at this point. I assumed they'd be number 1 but end up about 16k-19k.

Was hoping Mariah 'Music Box 30' might be able to sneak into Top 100 but once again she priotised promoting it on her American website which does not help in regards her chart position here

I’m a massive Mariah fan and own every album and even I’m not bothering with this one, it’s just too expensive

Noah has 3 x signing sessions at Banquet Records next week and 1 at HMV Oxford Street - I’m guessing he’ll be doing promo too, could send his album to the top and potentially keep Stick Season there too.
