I knew she wouldn’t disappoint, she’s star. I think overall the song and changes work really good, also I find the pre-chorus and chorus really catchy, they stuck suddenly. The only thing that I don’t feel is the end of the song, when it comes back to the pop initial part. Don’t you think it is a little bit down? I mean, the beat of the song increasing but when arrives to the end it goes like really slow, also the last whisper notes I think is too much. It doesn’t work for me, guess it needs a more epic final like the rest of the songs. However the best luck for Jade!

Intriguing debut single. Instantly catchy but an unusual structure. Love the little Puppet On A String sample at the start!

It's really endearing how much she embraces and acknowledges how unconventional it is. It doesn't come off as forced and I feel like that will only work to it's favour during the promo rounds. I'm so intrigued to see a performance of this!

She’s delivered!!! I knew she would but yeah this is by far the best solo release so far.

 

It’s full of personality and the track itself is genuinely strong. The structure and the verses are kind of Girls Aloud esque (like how you’d think they’d sound in 2024 almost) and it kind of sounds nostalgic in its sound but not in a way where it sounds dated.

 

Genius move to project this on Angel of The North (I love how she’s still so proud / happy to be from the North East she’s really never forgetten her roots and being from the same town as her I can say the support for her in South Shields is pretty huge she’s thought of so fondly here).

 

I can honestly say now I won’t be surprised if this becomes the best peaking solo LM release as well (and I’m counting Boyz here as well)

This sets her up to have a long career if she wants - as well as suggests that she actually DOES want it, whereas the other 3 have been much more lukewarm in that respect

Given it a few listens this morning and unfortunately it’s not for me. I don’t like the unstructured feel, it’s all over the place. I love Jade so hope she gets the success she deserves.

Yass. Ironically this was the least excited I was for a single by the girls since they've all been varying degrees of underwhelming so far but this is 100% the best of the bunch. I'd gonas far as to say it's leagues and leagues above anything else the rest have released. A f***ING BOP!

Okay I think I'm obsessing already. I'm working when the video drops, unfortunately but I have a feeling this is gonna do amazing for her. Like WOW. Also... So since I first heard the song the pulsating bass line all the way through it was twigging something in my brain. It's very Britney - Hold It Against Me. LOVE LOVE LOVE

What a huge debut solo single, I’m glad she didn’t go down the safe route.

This is peak-British pop and so Xenomania-coded. Pop girls who live and breathe pop music just get it.

 

I would be insanely happy to see her get a hit by not playing it safe — she deserves it.
