I’m guessing the vinyl and cassette are not ready? They could have dropped the video this morning though to bag a few extra streams.

I might just be insanely out of touch but I’ve never heard this Hozier song anywhere whereas I felt Take Me To Church was inescapable, even though I was never a fan. It doesn’t seem to have the same ubiquity

He has been unlucky TWICE - first, with Take Me To Chuch being the biggest song od the year but missong out on no.1, abs now this one being the biggest song of the year but onky getting 2 weeks at no.1. Ain't no way Taylor Swift won't get to no.1. Any star that overexposed gets an AUTOMATIC no.1, unless they start flopping. He shouldawaited a few weeks to release. Interesringly, both tiems, TMTTC and Too sweet, released when indie musoc was havin HUGE hits - Riptide, Ho Hey, ans npw Benson Boone and Teddy!!! Shows how important musical contextof what's popular is to make hits.

There's no guarantee Taylor will debut at number 1 and even if she did he would probably return to number 1 the week after I wouldn't call that unlucky :lol:

 

Amy impact on the albums showing! I hope Frank can appear in the top 100 as it does actually get a fair bit of showing in the film but obviously the film being called Back to Black I’d expect that to get more of the resurgence despite it already being the longest charting female album ever.

 

Perrie may hold on top ten with physicals depending on how many they are. Hoping it doesn’t drop too sharply though. I think both Perrie and Leigh’s debut tracks were nice enough but they’re both capable of doing a lot better. Hoping Jades can showcase off that personality better I think that’s what’s lacked with the solo LM releases so far.

 

Also really liking the Hozier track now. I actually think this years been rather good so far for number ones although I do wish Ariana got there with we can’t be friends.

I think when you order bundles they don't get delivered until the entire order is available generally.

wait until order is complete to send everything at once

vs send separately as it becomes available

They might do what Kylie done and when it was close for a Top 10 they took a hit on postage and sent out people that had pre-ordered PP along with the album so that they could get the sales.

My perrie cd arrived today, as did my djo cassette (shame they’ve gone up the week he goes to ACR but I doubt they’d add too many sales anyway). Noah Kahan stick season (we’ll all be here forever) cd & vinyls have also released this week so I think it could help stick season up the albums chart a bit… not that it needs any help doing that lol

Now she’s doing physicals week 1 it will be a high debut and harsh second week slump just like the other two.

She's only dropping CDs, she has cassettes and vinyls next week, along with the music video tomorrow.

I’d rather have a top 10 peak than a top 20 and a slightly artificially boosted second week tbh!

i think it makes an important impact to debut top 10, but the song doesn’t need it. i also think it can get back there with time. it’s already very impressive to be within reach of top 10 without the physicals and without a music video - who would have predicted that? also can’t forget that it was a very competitive week to release; especially, for female pop singers. she would have debuted top 10 and probably with higher streams if released the week prior.

 

the song is already stable and top 10 on AM but should have no issue increasing on spotify again as it grows on HHUK. music video today and extended mix, vinyls and cassettes still to ship. just a shame that taylor will wash her far out of the top 50 on spotify today - timing hasn’t been her friend :)
