Each day I'm noticing more and more people using Vanessa Amorosi - Absolutely Everybody as a sound on Tik Tok.... can that PLEASE go viral enough to chart again??? :wub:

It used to be fantastic. I was amazed how you could put a song of any genre, any language, any decade, and level of popularity, and it can somehow generate other similar songs. I've been using it for years because I'm often indecisive about what I want to listen to so it's nice just to play a song I like and let Spotify generate other songs I think I'll like. And I can discover new songs as well. Like if I want to discover more 90's underground house songs I can just put one on and then let autoplay give me loads more.

 

It's not as good now because they keep interfering with it and adding unrelated new releases (usually Espresso at the moment) in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd spot rather than letting the algorithm do its job, but I normally skip songs that I don't like or that I can tell shouldn't be there, so it's still not too bad.

Sabrina always come up for me on autoplay after Radical Optimism and I never listened to that song before

Surely with those streams, even if there is an element of auto play, people clearly are not hating it so much as to skip it. We haven’t seen these kind of consistent numbers before from any other release we know has been boosted by auto play, so it is clear the success goes beyond that.

 

We are about to head into multiple days of sunshine, so would be surprised to see Espresso back over 1 mill again within the next few days.

I've recently started getting Beyoncé's "Bodyguard" as the autoplay after Dua's album. Likely due to my listening habbits but I would be here for "Bodyguard" becoming a big autoplay hit!

Looks like only one Kendrick song will make the Top 10 this week and I'd expect it to be 'Euphoria' that misses out, especially with it now falling behind Dasha.
Listened to Chromatica (because of the tour film news obvs) and Espresso came on autoplay, they really are pushing it after all possible pop playlists and albums.

 

So she's been on autoplay/ had the boost for about a month now it seems :lol: And what with Taylor single handedly propelling her to the top spot on Spotify chart too.

 

Sabrina really has lucked out with this release.

 

God knows what sort of numbers she'd be doing if people liked the song/ it was popular.
