If you mean biggest selling song of the year I can’t see it. Stick Season had such a strong start, I think it’s probably uncatchable tbh.

 

I agree, I think we need a Bad Habits-sized hit to be released ASAP to beat it. Or one of the other big hits of the year to go viral or something and get a 2nd wind.

 

Espresso is still doing really well even though it's not the top autoplay song anymore so I suspect it'll be very high up though. I agree it could be top 5 year-end.

 

I think for Espresso to be #1 of the year they would have to do a Cat Burns and make a REALLY good drum & bass or house remix of it (that could get hundreds of thousands of sales by itself) and promote it as if it's a new song.

Stick Season wouldn’t be beaten by a Bad Habits sized new release even - Bad Habits did 1.7 million from its June release to the end of the year and Stick Season will beat that.

Billies streams have been a bit odd the last few days. I wonder if Sabrina has had a rebound following radio 1s big weekend or it could be the usual reasoning, that said Billie was coming out for me all weekend on autoplay. Shame though I thought she was going to climb up this week.

 

I wouldn’t rule out stick season actually getting a second wind itself come the autumn given that’s when the song refers to. Plus isn’t it already ahead of where flowers was this time last year sales wise? And flowers did what 1.5/6 million units by year end?

that the fluctuating streams for ‘LUNCH’ have something to do with Spotify’s algorithm alternating which songs from the Billie album get promoted more on autoplay

I'll be shocked if Sabrina's streams aren't consistently high over the summer! It's gonna sound lush when the weather starts really warming up.
I find it incredibly middling and don't get what the fuss is about

I think it's a very solid pop song. Does sound quite lush in the warmer weather. I wouldn't call it song of the year material personally but it's good.

 

I'm bored of it at #1 though, it's already blocked two songs from debuting there. I hope something else (*decent) can come to replace it soon.
