The fourth official hadn't relayed to the referee that France wanted to make two subs and just started the game without them. Mbappe went on the pitch to get the game stopped - as he was supposed to wait for permission to go back on - so France could put there subs on an have 11 men rather than 10.

June 17, 20241 yr That was an entertaining match between France and Austria. Austria were unlucky lose as they took the game to France and could have potentially won this match if they were more clinical with their chances. For the only goal of the match to be an own goal must sting extra for them as well. N'Golo Kanté played like how he did consistently for Leicester and Chelsea a few years ago and was all over the pitch at the right moments. Still no goal at the Euros yet for Mbappe.
