Can only assume there's more links to Epstein to come out soon if he's going to resign any sooner.

I see nothing credible supporting it.Currently reputable news sites are still focusing on the police investigation into Mandelson and what the PM will release about them, though they're certainly giving off the impression of getting rather giddy being able to talk about potential successors.

February 8Feb 8 Angela Rayner now bookies favourite for next PM despite her housing purchase woes. She still has huge support. Her and Burnham are only two who could beat Starmer with an MP vote, over 50%. Burnham more than Angela. Miliband and Streeting, no.
February 8Feb 8 It always bothers me when these vipers are given the opportunity to resign on their own terms.bye bye
February 8Feb 8 Author Good riddance, a solid centre for much of the rot at the heart of the Labour Party. It might, might, quell this scandal now there's a significant scalp, but as much as I'd like to see the government's direction move away from the anti-Labour McSweeney-led direction he pioneered, there's too many who share his views right at the top.if the government manage to get the messaging right, they can pile a lot of Labour unpopularity at his feet now, but that's also optimistic tbh
February 8Feb 8 I don't feel like this is going away easily somehow, he's up to his neck in it and everybody knows.

February 9Feb 9 Good riddance!Starmer looks like he'll be out in May regardless. Hardly lasting longer as PM than Sunak, so much for - 'ending the chaos'. I couldn't believe at the time the amount of political capital that was risked on Mandelson given the amount of information already out in the public domain, and am not surprised that it has blown up this government. I also can't stand all this 'I was lied to' excuses, as though that makes the decision any less reprehensible. It makes him look weak and naive and demonstrates his poor judgement. The fact that even the idea (with the knowledge known at the time) that Mandelson was considered for this high profile role, let alone accepted, is a total disgrace. This government has been treading water since it came in, and to quote Starmer himself.. indulges in the 'tepid bath of managed decline'.
February 9Feb 9 It certainly feels like it's gonna be a long long time before a PM ends on their own terms ever again.
February 10Feb 10 I love how the press are (rightly) disgusted by Mandelson as if his behaviour is a shock and yet a few short years ago they wheeled him out for his opinions of the Corbyn Labour leadership at every opportunity.
February 15Feb 15 I think the whole thing is ridiculous. Just give him his five years! Whole country has gone to the dogs. I hope Farage falls down the stairs if its looking likely Starmer goes.
February 23Feb 23 BBC NewsLord Mandelson arrested on suspicion of misconduct in pub...The Metropolitan Police says a 72-year-old man has been taken to a London police station for interview following the arrest in Camden.Mandelson getting the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor treatment. Good.
February 23Feb 23 The US Justice Department has been sitting on this information about Mandelson and Andy W for years. Why was it never passed on to the UK authorities?
