also having (pretty like the sun) makes the title different so it can chart I guess?

I don't think this makes a difference - see Rasputin by Majestic and Boney M.

Fairly sure it's the different primary artist that qualifies it as separate. Tom's name being listed first would've seen it combined I expect.

Oh I thought the Tom Odell thing was a new song :nocheer: :nocheer: shame would’ve been nice to see him get another hit not just a rehash. At least it’s not another love rehash I guess, but boo if this cheap remake of a beautiful song becomes bigger than the original Black Friday
Charli team really should be capitalising on this quiet week , this morning and GMB haven't stopped going on about brat summer this week

If she released signed vinyls and cds she’d have had a guaranteed #1 album, probs only needed 5K of sales which she easily would have got.

Birds of a Feather up to #1 on Spotify!! Any chance of her being official #1 this week..?

This sort of tactic works really well for artists like Taylor Swift or BTS. It's not one size fits all approach: I can't say I've ever noticed Charli benefiting massively from multi-formatting!

She only sold 17k physicals week one, I doubt there's the demand for 5k additional signed copies this week...

The mids today should give a good idea but I’m not optimistic for this week as “Birds Of A Feather” always overperforms considerably on Spotify. I do think it might at least be on a par with PPP day by day now.

Her fanbase has more than doubled from week 1, and signed copies definitely do work as people are more likely to get a signed copy than a regular copy. 5k is the minimum she would shift

I'd be seriously surprised if many people (that weren't fans at week 1) would be so invested as to purchase a signed copy now... If that was the case, I'm sure we'd see a resurgence of her back catalogue in the albums, which we haven't. Die hard fans maybe, but signed copies of a £10 album just doesn't work as a tactic for every artist! We'll only know if my suspicions are correct if she were to try that tactic, but I very much doubt she will (so we'll have to agree to disagree).

But Charli wouldn't need 5K, just 2K of signed stuff would be enough, and that's pretty feasible, Eminem is gonna be #1 with not even 10K

"Please Please Please" gap slighty bigger than Monday. Billie & Chappell might be within 3-4k sales or less come Friday. Particularly if Billie's spotify lead continues to grow (although no sure how the magic Thursday streams will be counted whether it's an average or will take into account Billie's growing lead over "Please Please Please").

I assume Billie should overtake Chappell come Friday with her lead on spotify. Although Chappell has been closing the gap on spotify slightly this week so might be quite close!

Would love for both Billie and Chappell to get to #1. Chappell next week with physicals if she is releasing then Billie the week after perhaps with a release of a music video?

Also I wonder if "WILDFLOWER" will climb this week? The release of the acoustic live performance on Billie's youtube channel has over 1.6 million views so far. I expect it should boost the song slightly in the chart. The song was #53 in the midweeks on Monday which won't take into account UK streams from it (video was released Monday). Would love to see the song go top 40 at some point now it's Billie's 3rd song. It's been climbing on Apple Music since the release of the acoustic version of the song as well!

Wouldn’t be suprised if Taylor even pips Eminem to the post here, will be very close between them two, both likely to land around 9.5K
Eminem is doing 1,300 a day only given his difference from two days ago so definitely #1 there for the taking if Chappell, Charli did have any special promotions

Both Blur and Ghost sales have really slowed since the last update. Eminem looks safe for a third week.

I hope Chappell Roan can hold onto number 2 now.

Eminem should bring the release of his physicals forward

Presumably that’s when they will be ready for, rather than just have them waiting in a cupboard somewhere.

Vinyl in particular has quite long run in times because of the increase in popularity combined with the lack of pressing plants around the world
