Just like the disgustingly and insultingly bad recent "Doctor Who", which was just Erik from Sex Exucation in a Disney show that just happened to have the same name, we demand better from franchises we love!!

And you have to admit, it is on Hollyoaks level quality rn, with this Hollyoaks EP. Except for Nigel and Penny, it is reaaaaallyreaaaaly bad. I don't know what I was watching with that pharmacy crap, o4 this drugs crap with Mark coming back as a totally new character. I hope he brings Ben back at this point, so he can ruin the character so badly he never darkens our doors again with his, chicken shops and gangaster deals and fights and shoehorned storylines. This EP does nothing right. And.Jasmine?! Christ!!! Worst storyline ever? And why are the Truemans going to the Vic? Why did they hold thr WAKE there, where he died, and where the one they THOUGHT killed him used to live and whrte he mother lives?! It's insulting

Gina, Penny, Harry and Vinny as a group and their romantic pairings are one of the only things this show is doing right so of course Wadey has to ruin that

I wonder if, when it gets to it, that they will repeat the flash-forward episode?

So you have the events leading up to it, and then show the episode again, and then carry on afterwards.

Otherwise it just doesn't make sense to anyone who doesn't remember and had never seen that episode.

I guess they can then always edit out or change the bits they what creative licence with?

I'm imagining we will see the episode from different perspectives/ with more information and build up - eg instead of hearing the message, we could just see Oscar going to phone the radio and the aftermath.

Also Scott's lines can easily be re-recorded with a different DJ - he wasn't name checked in the episode and was just a voice.

I kinda am too but equally im not a big enough fan of either character to overly care.

There was more than enough story in Penny and Vinny having a baby together. We didn’t need this cheap who’s the daddy crap and have Vinny regress and become Suki’s manbaby again.

The worst thing about this though is a really Wadey thing-the writing. Tonight was supposed to be some ‘gotcha’ moment for the viewers ‘you didn’t see that coming’. Well, of course we didn’t, there weren’t any clues.

Penny has previously lacked screen time but I just thought she wasn’t doing anything whilst not on screen but apparently she was actually doing Harry. It’s like when they set up all the Cindy clues for Jasmine so that they could reveal her as something completely different. If there are subtle clues we don’t mind. But literally showing us something else to throw us off the scent is really bad storytelling.

When was all this with Harry supposed to have happened though? He was in rehab before Christmas. I suppose it could've been off screen when he was getting high but that feels very off and not really the right vibe for him? He was still into Gina then too? Agree with T Boy here on the whole fake ass 'gotcha' moment that hasn't landed.

Feels like a lifetime since we saw Nicola but glad to see normal cunty service from her resumes.
