quite an impressive debut there

though I expect a lot of that is curiosity and it’ll have a fairly quick drop off

especially with the controversy over their new singer’s links to scientology and Danny Masterson

On both Spotify and Apple, ‘Pink Pony Club’ is pulling ahead of ‘Red Wine Supernova’: last week PPC was finally ahead of RWS on both streaming and audio streaming (previously it’s once been ahead on overall streaming I think), so failed to chart EITHER because Amazon has a higher number of premium streams (where PPC is doing less well) OR PPC is on permanent ACR (being around 4 years old) despite never charting, which seems harsh. It’s difficult to believe it hasn’t had at least one week without a 25% increase.

 

I guess we will see by the end of this week which of the reasons is correct - but sadly this would probably be the first week in a while that PPC has not had enough streams to make the top 40.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice could provide a boost for Bee Gees' Tragedy, Richard Marx's Right Here Waiting, and Donna Summer's McArthur Park all brilliantly used in the movie.

Great start for Linkin Park - also #36 on Amazon which is a great start there and the music video has over 8 million views so far. I'm thinking it'll go top 20 fairly easy. Top 10 depending on how well it holds up. I really like the song so hope it does hold on well!
