Bruno & Lady Gaga earned 11,347,233 global streams for DWAS which was more than Katy Perry’s whole album combined. Sadly she did not make the top 200 of any notable charts in any major country.

 

Please Please Please definitely dropping a lot but will be close between Espresso & DWAS as the week goes on.

 

Chappell just getting stronger with all songs and for the first time within 100k of Taste

 

HHUK added Ndotz and nines but nothing else from what I can see

Last Saturday taste was around 150k ahead of GLB now 90kish so the gap is definitely reducing a lot

The Weeknd's recent slide from the top of the charts might surprise some, but it reflects the competitive and evolving nature of the music scene. While he dominated for a while, newer singles and artists have been gaining ground quickly. For instance, his track "Dancing in the Flames" hasn't been able to maintain a higher position for long. On the album charts, his older projects like Starboy and After Hours have seen significant drops.

 

This decline could be linked to the rise of other popular artists like Zach Bryan and Noah Kahan, who are both seeing massive success. The charts are constantly shifting, so while The Weeknd is still a powerhouse, even top-tier artists face moments when they step aside for the next wave.

I would argue that people want more r&b/"vibey stuff" from him than this synth pop these days. Yes, Blinding Lights and Save Your Tears were/are gigantic but those were 4 years ago.

 

His core audience is currently (re-)discovering Frank Ocean who is getting his biggest streaming days ever, that's type of benchmark right now.

Really? I’m not sure I agree, the top end of the chart is full of pop music again. You’d think his new single would fit right in, it really reminds me of We Can’t Be Friends and I kind of expected it to perform similarly.

In theory yes, but not sure if their fanbases really match.

 

But in the end, anything by The Weeknd can smash *cough* Stargirl Interlude *cough*, so let's just wait and see.

I just think the Weeknd just didn't release that great of a track. I was a bit disappointed by it. His album will be the last of the triology he's doing which I'm happy for. Hoping his album after will sound more fresh/interesting (I'm sure his upcoming album will have some great tracks though).

 

 

"Evergreen" just lost 30-40% of its streams in every major market in a single day yesterday.
