It's a thing right now all over social media. I don't really get it either, she's not my cup of tea but she's not like bad or anything. The flip side of the coin though is thst this hate she's getting is the best thing for her career. The surge in popularity she's seen globally almost perfectly coincides with the hate she's gotten. I have a theory that these people who hate artists think they're going to convince others that the artist is terrible, but all they do is expose new people to an artist who they end up liking.

I mean she’s a bad singer who’s very clearly catapulted her career off her parents’ success as opposed to any natural growth (she has a song featuring Taylor Swift for goodness sake).

I don't even dislike Gracie, her single is on my playlist, but it's very obvious that she has one of the, if not THE, biggest industry backing behind her in years. She had Aaron Dessner writing and producing her debut album right after Folklore by Taylor Swift become successful and she scored tour opening slots for Olivia and Taylor.

She’s on her sixth album and has had a couple of middling hits, yes the extra push might have got her but she has slowly built up. Gracie just came out of nowhere pretty much and her music is boring as hell, no spark or anything compelling to it at all.

Gracie is a boring privileged nepo baby with zero artistry imo, her music is a complete hybrid of Taylor, Lorde, Olivia but unlike them has zero distinguishing features to her music. I just cant take to her at all.
