I usually choose a different song as my favourite of all time, but as they have this week's #1 album I'll go with my favourite charting song:

The Cure - In Between Days

Excellent contributions.

Roger Sanchez - Another Chance is the whole Summer of 2001 in one song. So many memories attached to it.

Not quite my favorite of all time, but my favorite of the 2010s:

The Naked & Famous - Young Blood

Orbital - Belfast (30 Something Years Later Mix)

I've come to really enjoy this slightly reworked version and I think I prefer it to the original now. I don't know what my favourite song of all time is really but I do love this and it feels like we're missing something in this sort of style from the things nominated so far.

Some great contributions so far, thank you all for being part of this.

Surprised by the absence of some very big hitter acts currently! I wonder who will snap them up first.

Just a suggestion (and obvs feel free to just ignore it if it doesn’t work for you guys) but maybe you could have a ‘disc 3’ that represents some of the biggest artist forums over the years? I suspect that would cover some of the acts you’re thinking of if people are nominating more personal things at the moment.

I was expecting Enjoy the Silence from you, dandy* 😁

I would prefer favorites/personal things rather than something that we feel might be missing. It gives the collection far more personality.

Yes you're right I'd usually choose Enjoy the Silence by default for something like this. However I've been listening to Orbital a lot over the past 12 months (or however long it is since thirty something was released) and the new version of Belfast has made me love that track even more than I did before, the original was always nice and deservedly an electronic classic but kinda didn't quite go anywhere for me after the first half, where as this new version kicks up a gear before breaking it all back down again and it just makes it even more special a song for me... plus you do need a song that's perfect for a disc closer!

My top three songs are all well over ten minutes long so I'm going to choose my 50th favourite song as its lyrics sum up how all of us on here love our music and couldn't be without it:

John Miles - Music

Kylie - Confide in Me (Big Brothers Mix)
Interesting, I’ve never really paid any attention to any version other than the original for that
