“Kids” was the 3rd and final single from MGMT’s debut album “Oracular Spectacular”. It was released in October 2008 but didn’t reach its peak of #16 until January 2009. It spent 9 months in the Top 75, and in 2021 received a double platinum certification.

I’d also have preferred a “Fighter” VS “Kids” final, but here we are and I’m going for BOBD.

Meh, this is why I was against past winners still being included x

I wasn’t going to change the rules until we get past #100 anyway.

But at the moment it seems the majority want to keep the repeats in. :(

Green Day to win but both 10/10 songs.

I wore Cologne, I wore Cologne...

To get the feeling right?

Love both but prefer Sugababes
I still think it’s best to keep repeats in. I mean if they win again it’s a testament to their popularity.

Green Day, I guess. I like both songs but I don’t want either to win given they both have done.

It’s not like there weren’t other worthy winners in this set either.

I just literally vote for my least favourite song in each round which is how the game should be 🤷‍♂️ I think it defeats the purpose if you try and engineer it to be something else.

(Although having said that, if 'Fighter' had made it to the final I'd probably be backing that to win)

I think it defeats the purpose if you try and engineer it to be something else.

Basically this tbh. I don’t think it’s a given songs that have won before will win again if included a second time. But besides Fighter and the 20th century songs, I don’t think the list was that strong (in my humble opinion :kink:)

It’s not that inevitable though. Fair play if you are going for what you genuinely dislike but I would personally rate both Kids and Fighter higher than both of these so it’s disappointing to see them go out earlier.
