I like the bass guitar and the production its quite early 80s new wave! Hopefully it will be a hit!

I do think the chorus underwhelms a little bit though. I always expect something bigger than what we get but it’s still catchy enough.

 

Kinda feels like the song ‘Don’t Call Me Angel’ shoulda been.

I have to say I'm addicted to this song. It gets better and better with each listen. The layered/background vocals are so good *_* I feel like I notice new/different vocal layers with each listen.

I’ve just found out that Born Again was originally intended to be a 2019 release, but Raye’s former record label (Polydor) wouldn’t let her release it until she got another hit single. Later on, Raye left Polydor and became an independent artist. About 5 years later, Lisa bought the song from her former record label and wanted Raye to be in it after learning what happened.
