The 10k Sabrina Blood Records release isn't out until July so will have no impact on the chart this week.

I'm intrigued as to how the Bradley Simpson album will do? I've liked the songs I've heard, should manage an entry in the lower reaches of the top 10 I think.

  • It would be the cherry on top of the cake for me if Chappell's debut album gains itself a #1 single at this late stage! Particularly as it's the song which technically started off the era, 5 years ago

New Doves album is good, will be contending for number one

Adele "Chasing pavements" "My hometown" to everything else that followed

I imagine Bradley will have a lot of variants, which should help him. Kinda hard to predict but I wouldn't be overly surprised if he misses the top 10.

Oh no Sabrina in contention this week then

I see it's out July 4

I love Chappell but I feel if she were to squeeze in a low selling number one with an old song it would be a bit of an anticlimax. Was hoping her first number one would be a huge selling event single going straight to the top. Through chart history I’ve loved it when an artist has built up popularity to be an obviously huge star, coming closer to the number one each step until finally managing it with a massive lead single. Of the top of my head I’m thinking Take That, Duran Duran, Adam and the Ants… I’m sure there’s loads more, can anyone suggest others they remember/enjoyed?

I personally don't see it as anticlimatic

it's her best song so in my head it makes sense it's her first #1

it's a bit like Pink-Just like a pill, was the 3rd single of Mizzunderstood and her first #1,

but again it was her best single to date and it's a classic so totally deserved.

Oasis also spring to mind

Don’t get me wrong, I love Pink Pony Club as a song, I just meant as a chart ‘event’ a big selling new song would be great too, especially with the current lull the charts are in at the moment!
