March 5Mar 5 I agree with Jack, I can see this going to #1, the way it’s exploding on streaming. The solo version is so good. Doechii first caught my attention with Persuasive and What It Is. I’m so pleased she’s having her moment this year! So excited for her!

March 5Mar 5 It is a bit bizarre it's literally just her rapping over Somebody That I Used To Know, especially if this does become a hit. Sounds a lot better than that Sleepy Hallow version of the song. Some of the lyrics in that were awful!
March 5Mar 5 Much better than the Sleepy Hallow remix, I agree she is absolutely killing it atm and going from strength to strength. I’d love to see her go to #1 with this, what an excellent sampling, it could so easily be odd but she makes it work.

March 6Mar 6 Had to double check I somehow didn't push play on Gotye at first I'ts actually going to be a grower I can tell, liked it on first listen though but the sample will take some time getting used to

March 8Mar 8 the original Gotye song is one of my absolute faves so alas I'm struggling to see myself getting into this as the instrumental just makes me wish I was listening to that insteadgood to see Doechii quickly onto a second hit though
March 8Mar 8 Author It's no secret that I hate 'Somebody That I Used To Know' with a passion. It really grates and irritates me. I'm so happy I have that melody on a song that I can really enjoy now though.
March 8Mar 8 The backing track to this is exactly the same as 'Somebody That I Used To Know' with zero deviation to the structure, right?This is the first Doechii song I've cared for, but I think that's entirely because I'm hearing Gotye simultaneously!
