SoundClash returns with cover songs from the 21st Century going head to head with each other.

Who remembers any music by A-ha? Well this round we will look at two covers, one which was a major hit and another which was not.

It is A1 vs Milk Inc. Both quite different, but give them a listen and see.

You decide!

Here is what we have had so far in this series of SoundClash;

Five vs. Robbie Williams in a battle of the Queen covers

Alien Ant Farm vs. Fall Out Boy in a battle of the Michael Jackson covers

Mad'House vs. Kelly Osbourne in a battle of the Madonna covers

Oh I may have missed #3

I expect to be in a minority here but I have a massive soft spot for A1's cover. Ben Adams voice is amazing on it. I bought it on single when released. Tuuuune

I didn't know the Milk Inc one existed so had a listen and it's pretty good.

The A1 cover is awesome though, so voted that

Didn't know the Milk Inc. one - I see it peaked at #86, but I quite liked their two Top 10 hits from 2002 (neither of which Radio 1 playlisted btw), and don't mind this cover either on first listen, so easily that ahead of A1 for me.

Surprised you didn't include 'Feel This Moment' by Pitbull and Christina Aguilera in this, has a prominent Take On Me sample!

The A1 cover is good, the original song is too good to be ruined I think.

I still voted for Milk Inc, one of the several Belgian eurotrance acts of 2002. The eurotrance/trance-pop sound of 2002 to me is much like a precursor to the 2011-2012 EDM but with harder synths.

Was discussing this in the Julian 00s thread but its funny because as well as Milk Inc there were also artists called Milky, Milk and Sugar and a featured rapper called Milk charting in the early 00s.
