I will never fall for Ginger hate propaganda, but this bracket does feel a bit more muted and definitely a step down from bracket 2. I think that’s the fault of the casting tbh, like… why on earth are you putting Alyssa Hunter and Cucu in the same competition as Ginger Minj I know they can’t put all the big guns in the same bracket but this is just completely imbalanced, i love Daya and Acid is great but they’re not on the same level imo. I’m not a stan or anything but Ginger is one of the best ever to be on Drag Race, she can do pretty much everything and it is a bit of an imbalance here.

i feel like this was meant to be the first bracket (esp with ariana and cynthia guest judging), but then production saw what a snooze it was.

I feel bracket 2 should’ve been last to keep the drama going into the semifinals. But let’s see how this one will pan out. Ginger is already through lol and I need Denali to be one of the three. As for the rest, I don’t really care one way or another :’)

I don't think it's that bad! It's just too big of a contrast due to the Bracket 2 drama

Honestly if they just had a pure design challenge then Alyssa & Acid betty would likely be in the run for top 2 (+ Daya). The story part of the challenge did feel slightly Ginger-coded.

Hopefully things will pick up in the next episode!

They were filmed in the order they’re aired but I agree with Pavi they really could have shifted it around I think. I don’t feel like this bracket will go down very well and I wonder if that will just make people turn against the season. I suppose it’s only a couple of episodes, but the discourse around Ginger and it being “rigged” is suffocating and it’s only been a few days. But then again the fans are never happy and are just dramatic about whatever thing has happened that week.

Hard disagree with this week's top 2. I would have Cynthia up there with Ginger and for me she was the best one out of everyone.

Did not care for how the majority of the runways did straight recreations of Miley looks instead of dragged-up versions.

Denali had no business being top 2 and the fans are overrating her to an Anetra level To me they feel like they are the same genre of overrated purely because they are attractive out of drag and do the “right” kind of lipsyncs and performances that people raised on Drag Race want. And that’s just not exciting to me in the slightest especially when the fans bend over backwards to act like Denali should have won every challenge, every lipsync and the season just for existing.

Ginger is similarly exactly what Rupaul wants from Drag Race queens, and that’s just not HUGELY exciting to me per se either but I will always enjoy seeing Ginger just do great drag. Daya I think is the only one who can challenge her and even then it’s not particularly close.

Because the casuals whinge it’s “some stars” when they don’t cast finalists. This bracket is just not that compelling or exciting to me especially compared the other 2 but that’s not the fault of Ginger.

Hmm. Denali continues to be a charisma vacuum, the challenge next week looks like another stinker, and this cast still has negative chemistry. This bracket feels inessential and not particularly great TV either.

I just find Ginger's brand of comedy completely unfunny. Sorry! Every comment, look, and glance is edited with what feels like a ridiculous laugh now cue, which makes it all seem forced. It does her a disservice, too — it overshadows the genuine moments (like being in the top two this week). Of course, the fandom is toxic and insane and takes everything too far

My biggest issue is how no one has really stood out this entire bracket — Ginger included. Choosing winners the past two weeks has felt like picking the least mediocre, which is pretty damning for a queen who’s supposedly head and shoulders above the rest in Drag Race prowess

This is very much the this will do bracket Like they didn’t have any stories etc for these queens so they just shoved them here knowing Ginger would do well. Daya is the only other one of these I think could have stood the slightest chance in any of the others. Cucu lowkey could have been top 2 this week, Alyssa is giving nothing, Acid Betty has done solidly but nothing amazing and there is just 0 charisma or spark to Denali imo. The fact the only pre existing “drama” is Alyssa calling Daya a bitch like 4 years ago and now they’re sisters anyway is mad.

I do somewhat agree on Ginger to a lesser extent, as I said I think both her and Denali feel like they are very meticulously engineered a certain way, I just much prefer the trope of Ginger to the trope of Denali, I have really grown tired of the Denali genre of fan fave (see Anetra). I think she does great drag, it’s not something that is the most compelling or original or unique, but I always enjoy it well enough. Following the drama of bracket 2, Mistress’ scheming and reality TV mastery, the charismatic glow up of Lydia, the charm of Jorgeous, the shock mini sweep of Irene, and the sheer dynamic c**t of Bosco, it’s a shame the best bracket 3 has to offer for me is “I always somewhat enjoy Ginger” This is a problem with the bracket format, you run the risk of ending up with a bracket like this with no storyline, no drama, just kind of “leftover” queens so it’s not at all a compelling or dynamic group of episodes, it’s just “oh Ginger is doing well”.

I think both Ginger and Jorgeous were backups iirc (and Lydia, we specifically know it went Maddy, mirage then Lydia), it would be interesting to see who would have been on instead. The rumours and casting tea was crazy because of the bracket system so it was hard to know who was on and which bracket until filming was done.

I don't find Ginger that funny either. Even less so when it's the same jokes catered to appeal to Ru's most age-based humour which is quite tame.

The ironic thing is a lot of queens (and Ru herself on her socials) have realized that Ru's true sense of humour is actually really dark and unhinged stuff. Sure, she likes obvious jokes, puns and dirty implications too but that isnt what really makes her cackle.

I'd like to see Ginger letting loose a bit. We know she can do haters' roast style humour when she puts her mind to it.

I don’t think the challenges help, because even the challenges for this bracket compared to the others feel like leftover ideas? Like the design one was kind of half assed design and half assed comedy when they could have done a paired improv or a Ball, the judging didn’t really care that much about the design when compared to the one we had in Bracket 2.

2nd week is a row Cucu has impressed me and I thought she should've been top 2 over Denali! Even Daya could've been top 2 over Denali - I just didn't really like her verse/performance. I thought Acid Betty did better too!

I really enjoyed Ginger but to be honest this is the 2nd group challenge in a row and a country themed one at that. Like come on I think the Bracket has great queens but can you do proper solo challenges. I would've loved a pure solo design challenge - Alyssa, Daya & Acid would've killed it. I think if the challenges went something like this then I think there would've been more balance:

Design Challenge

Roast

Acting

Ginger would do well at 2/3 still, but honestly people like Denali, Daya & Acid I think could all kill a roast if done well. Then an acting challenge I think could be anyone's game depending on the characters.

I feel like the bracket feels lackluster because of the way the production has set up the challenges - it basically feels like the Ginger show and supporting cast. Even the first challenge they added the story bit. Without that Ginger would've sank on the design challenge.

Daya top 2 here??! Cynthia and Denali easily did better than her at least. It was kind of a Liv Lux in the Season 13 improv win where her and Denali volleyed really well but only one of them got rewarded. This was kind of a Ginger top 1 though she was by far the funniest but she is one of the best improv queens ever on the show I think as evidenced by her Snatch Games.

Daya did absolutely tear that lipsync, that was probably the best lipsync of the season, maybe they just didn’t want Ginger to have all 3 lipsync wins and they knew it was a song that Daya would eat? Idk. I would prefer her in the merge over Denali tbf as I prefer her drag. Cynthia definitely deserves the merge as I do think she has done well in all 3 and should have been in the top at least once. Cucu doing solidly at a comedy challenge was not on my bingo card for this season!

As we’ve all said it was a disappointing bracket given the other 2 and I am glad to see the back of it and hopefully enjoy the merge more

Honestly I was a little disappointed with Ginger I thought the top 2 would've been Denali and Cucu - although I think Cucu's runway kept her out of the running so could see Denali + Daya. Not to say Ginger didn't do badly at all. Even Acid did quite well.

Daya and Ginger gave another great lip sync - happy to see Daya win it.

So happy Cucu got through! Honestly she should've been top 2 at least once. I do think she's been the most consistent and completely outperformed peeople's expectations.

Now bring on the merge and the wild card queen!! *_* MIB back on screen is going to be Drama and a mess, can't wait!

Hard disagreeing with so much of this thread's judgement. This judging of this bracket has frustrated the life out of me and I feel like only Ginger and Daya got their flowers, in spite of the fact Acid and Denali did well every time and Cynthia had shining moments which deserved points, so she wasn't JUST relying on points from friends.

For me, it'd have been:

Week 1: Denali & Acid

Week 2: Denali & Cynthia (Ginger was a close 3rd though for me, so not a complete mess of a judgement)

Week 3: Ginger & Denali

Absolutely do not get this idea Denali is overrated/a charisma vacuum, there's not a single time she didn't do fantastically. Whilst, Ginger looked HORRIBLE in episode 1 and won for some facial expressions. And lip synced HORRIBLY in episode 2 and won for some facial expressions. She was amazing in the improv, easily the best and that's where she shines, so there's no need to pretend she did well in moments where she didn't. Who benefits from that? Not Ginger, not the show, not the viewers.

I was also reminded of how much I dislike Daya Betty this episode too. I am here for drama but hers doesn't come from a place of fun... ever. She's got a horrible level of passive aggressiveness and righteousness that I would hate to be around. She's talented and I really like her style of drag, she's got a very distinct brand, so I was hoping to like her more this time around but this episode with Alyssa was like going right back to Square 1.

So, all in all, nothing feels like a win for me from this bracket. Denali & Acid were the only two things I really enjoyed and they've come away from it with very little to show which leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah, Daya really won NOTHING. Nor did she really display any growth on being likeable so her pushing is more frustrating than Ginger's 😂
