This sometimes happens when the music is identical (rather than remixed). The two versions get muddled up and combined. Something similar happened to Mae Muller ‘I Wrote A Song’ if my memory serves me correctly.

Happened with Santa Tell Me a couple of years ago when the “Naughty Version” was released. It reverted a few days later.

Addison Rae’s ‘Headphones On’ is #60 on Spotify today so only a small day 2 drop!

Now wondering if all of Davido's streams are fake, didn't he enter a couple of weeks ago with a song we thought was botted? Would be a shame if its popularity was illegitimate as it's actually got some decent songs

His previous album reached #10 and spent 5 weeks on chart so I think his success is legit.

Nah I don’t think so cos he charts on Apple too so would suggest at least a decent portion should be legit I’d guess

Davido does have genuine popularity but the Spotify showing today definitely looks like bots oop - all of his entries from yesterday have dropped out and he has 3 new entries which are the last 3 songs on the album, 2 of which have debuted higher than his highest entry yesterday.

I never really look through the Spotify charts as I tend to just read the Highlights posts.

I can't believe how old most of the songs are in the Top 10.

Just realised - are we a couple of weeks away from a Spotify chart where the entire top 10 are on ACR?

The fact that's even a possibility says it all about how mind-numbingly dire the charts have become.

Honestly I used to be excited to check the Spotify chart each day to see the movement etc but it’s actually getting to the point where I’m slowly loosing interest and it even hasn’t crossed my mind to check it the past few days, just sums up how stale the charts have been this year, old hits not budging and overstaying their welcome and barely any new hits taking off

When brand new tracks like Azizam can barely pass 200K

are easily beaten even by 50% by old songs like Thats so true, Sailor song, Birds of a feather

than came out months and months ago

Ordinary has done pretty well why couldn’t others do it like Alex?

The problem is that on tiktok, people use the same 3 songs for months and months, they don't move on

yesterday I took the underground and was surrounded by teenagers scrolling down tiktok

with the volume so high, I could hear everything

and I heard Gracie Abrams-That's so True like 5 times in 3 minutes

and I didn't hear any song from 2025, just old songs

Young people do tend to have very little respect with their phones from my experience. It’s like they’ve not heard of earphones.
