Quite sad for Australia, but maybe just forgotten about in the end and it was always a little overpredicted in the odds I feel. Likewise Czechia, but I never understood why the odds for that were so good.

Surprised Serbia didn't make it.

Ireland sounded a little crap and juvenile compared to everything else so maybe not a huge surprise.

Montenegro and Georgia never really stood a chance.

5/6 NQ prediction with Denmark going through, that's a success in my books.

I did start feeling like Australia might not make it, it is a shock in one way but I do feel like the song didn’t stand out as much as it could have live and he was on first so I think the average person at home hearing songs for the first time would have forgotten about it or been more compelled by other songs. I fear we could see an SBS withdrawal tbh

The first 3 really got lost in the end, well done to Latvia, my favourite entry from this semi, with Luxembourg, sadly Georgia missing out.

I would have picked Georgia over Malta though

now going through the performances... australia is fine but i can see why it nqed. poor montenegro she doesn't deserve the voice crack and i hope she won't get mocked for that because she really wanted to make the package work. i feel like she won't be last though. ireland was so dull. that chorus is just so unremarkable i think this is dead last x

Shame Ireland doesn't make it through, would've been fun to hear a bit of festival progressive house tune in the Final.

Not surprised Ireland didn't go through unfortunately and disappointed for Australia aswell.

Very happy for Luxembourg and Denmark.

Generally I find the songs this year very weak but I think Austria. France, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands will all do well sweden not as much on juries but should get a good televote the other 4 I think will do well with the juries.

My opinion will change again Saturday night but sweden and Iceland are my 2 fave songs

Lithuania is the one this year. (I knew it would be after hearing like 2 seconds of it in the clip played at the end of the first semi but it lived up to that x). I thought they would probably qualify but was nice for my nerves that they were announced through first. Thrilled for Latvia to have made it somewhat against the odds too, think it's close between that and Albania for my 2nd fave overall this year.

I lost 2 of my top 5 and 1 more of my top 10 as in semi 1, but happier with the results overall today - my favourite of the DNQs musically was Georgia but I am not weeping for it being out due to the dodgy politics behind it oop. A shame to see Serbia and Montenegro both out though, big RIP to the whole ex-Yugo bloc this year. (Albania to win in solidarity pls).

I liked Malta marginally more than I expected to. Having said that, it was still pretty cringe and probably still beating out Slovenia as my least favourite of the year. Also thought Israel's song was, musically, a little better than last year's. But still pretty bland. The UK girls are good live performers but the song feels like a bit of a disjointed mess unfortunately. I see that Australia was the big 'surprise' DNQ in this semi but I actually thought it sounded like a fairly obvious DNQ! Oop

Glad that Denmark finally qualified again, this song was a little bit Tesco Value Loreen but it was fun enough.

I've stuck a cheeky £5 on Albania to win as 40/1 odds on Bet365 seemed a little too generous to pass up, I think there is a plausible path to them cleaning up the televote and doing well enough with juries to come out on top. Cue them coming like 15th now.
