I actually only really love the Top 5! Addison is good but there's better on the album imo Damiano & SASAMI surprised me in a good way!

The rest....ehhh. I never could stand "Miracle" and found it vastly overrated and I usually love CHVRCHES but that just doesn't do it for me.

Wow, EIGHT eliminations suddenly I don't feel so bad about losing Rina in the last round!

And also what a STRONG selection of songs, this is gonna be by far the toughest selection to rank yet!!

Great round, most songs are really good. My fave ever Xtina and Avril songs so there was no way they’d be beaten here !

I know I was warned about this but I didn't want to change what I had intended to send for the Pet Shop Boys for this round. I didn't want to use one of their two most popular songs as early as round 4. (I think everyone has guessed by now that I am the one behind them). It looks like they will go out then. ☹️

Not if I have anything to do with it they won't! 'Rent' is a masterpiece (as are most of their singles actually)

I know most of these songs very well so there were only a small handful I had to familiarise or re-familiarise myself with. A solid selection of songs on the whole, I really enjoy my whole top 10.

1 Pet Shop Boys - Rent (fave) (yes I know this isn't one of their best known but to me it's near pop perfection)

2 Avril Lavigne - My Happy Ending (easily one of her best singles)

3 A-ha - Take on Me (possibly a tad overplayed, but an undeniable classic)

4 Enrique Iglesias feat. Ciara - Takin’ Back My Love (always had a soft spot for this)

5 Charlie Puth - How Long (love the production and his vocals on this)

6 Christina Aguilera - Fighter (very appropriately titled for this round)

7 Mary J. Blige - Family Affair (I'm still salty she beat Rina in the last round but this is a genuinely great song)

8 Elton John - I’m Still Standing (my favourite Elton John song sent so far, a shame it's competing with so many great songs)

9 The Saturdays - All Fired Up (I'm still waiting for my favourite Sats songs to appear)

10 Fifth Harmony feat. Ty Dolla $ign - Work From Home (probably their best song tbh)

11 Damiano David - Born With a Broken Heart (his album was a good discovery that came out of this contest)

12 Addison Rae - Times Like These (I do like this but it's still too recent to stand up to timeless classics)

13 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle (just doesn't compare to his earlier bangers)

14 SASAMI - Just Be Friends (there's a handful of songs I like on her album but sadly this wasn't one of them)

15 CHVRCHES - Graves (I love many songs by them but none of those have made an appearance yet)

16 James Blake - Loading (apols Brer but this just did absolutely nothing for me)
