Official Charts Report

It looks like a three-way chart race could be on our hands this week, as the Top 3 on the Official Chart: First Look sit just 1,500 chart units apart.

Sabrina Carpenter leads the way with Manchild, back at the top after 48 hours, while Ravyn Lenae is also in contention with Love Me Not, up one place to Number 2 - its previous peak - on the First Look.

Dior by MK ft. Chrystal is up two midweek at Number 3, which would mark a brand new peak if it holds on until Friday’s Official Singles Chart.

Close behind, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean could earn a Top 5 placing with their new collab Rein Me In (4) - which could mark Sam’s fourth Top 5 single and Olivia’s first.

Further down, Fred again.. teams up with Skepta and producer, rapper and streamer PlaqueBoyMax for Victory Lap, which is already making waves and could be this week’s highest new entry (10), and finally, following the announcement of her third album, Lola Young’s One Thing is eyeing up a new peak (17).

The Official Chart: First Look offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

Idk if this interesting to yall, interesting to me. 3 of the 4 artists performing at the 2nd north American leg of the short n sweet tour (Sabrina Carpenter, Ravyn Lenae, and Olivia Dean) are represented in the top 4 of first look

Great to see Ordinary finally on ACR! 13 weeks was more than enough.

I don't think Ravyn will do it, I think she has missed her chance now, depends on her sales for the week, next week will be more interesting if Sabrina stays for another week, but its not certain for this week yet. I think the Dior could manage to do it next week or could be a contender for #1 this Friday, not keen on the Sam & Olivia track.

If Sabrina does get it that will make it 36 out of the last 62 weeks her or Alex have been #1 58% and his new song with Rose is out Friday

I didn't think she was ever really in the running was she? Especially this week given Dior has overtaken it on Spotify now and was ahead on Apple anyway. Plus she never caught up with Sabrina

It's Sabrina and Alex's world and we're lucky to be living in it.

I hope either Ravyn or MK can snatch number 1 on Friday

My guess is sabrina gets it this week but Dior ends up being very close, but takes it next week

It wouldnt be crazy. The logic here is that last time she did singles before Coachella and Gov Ball, using the attention she got from those festivals to promote them. And that worked brilliantly, so she used the same strategy for Manchild, releasing it days before Primavera Sound. So if the strategy continues, it'd be released July 4th ahead of BST Hyde Park. And there's two license plates we saw up close in the manchild video, "MBF 0000", which obviously now we know was a teaser for Man's Best Friend, and "1D704A6", which the 704 could mean july 4th.

She has the opportunity to do the same thing to release another single 4 weeks before the album release, in support of her lollapalooza set, but I could see that going either way if she liked the 2 pre-release single strategy of SnS

Ravyn has never had a chance and doesn't have it now either with the song barely being top 20 on Apple and Amazon

Dion sure has more of a chance with the song being #3 on Spotify, #3 on Apple, #4 on Amazon and #1 on Youtube
