Avril Lavigne. Pet Shop Boys. Christina Aguilera.

One of them will become the very first winner of The Pop Factor.

Between now and the final results of the two-part Grand Final we'll be taking a reflective deep-dive through the rest of the competition and having a look at the best bits from all of the other artists including the recently eliminated Mary J. Blige and The Saturdays, but for now... this is the moment it's all come down to. They've fought off 21 other artists and made it to within touching distance of the crown and the grand prize of The Ten Poond Record Token.

All that stands between them and winning The Pop Factor is you, the voting BuzzJack public. Your votes alone from here will decide who wins and whose freshly-pressed Winner's Single will hit the non-existent shelves next Monday morning! o

How it works:

The three remaining finalists will perform their Winner's Single for you, the voting BuzzJack public, and for the final time in Part Two of the Grand Final. Once you've listened to all three performances you should cast your vote, ranking the performances from favourite to least favourite. Once again, there will be no public voting in the Grand Final.

All voting is reset for Part Two of the Grand Final, so if you have already voted in Part One you can now vote again using the new form.

IMPORTANT: for those that are competing in the Grand Final, in this final stage of the competition you are not allowed to vote. Anybody else on BuzzJack may cast a vote.

You are voting for the WINNER!

You should submit your votes in private HERE, choosing from each of the drop-down boxes to assign each song to a position in your ranking from 01 (favourite) to 03 (least favourite).

♦️

Voting will close on Saturday 19th July 18:59 BST

(touching grass on Saturday so results may not be immediately following the vote closing)

When the vote closes, we'll cross over to the Grand Final Results to reveal the winner of The Pop Factor!

So without further ado, for the final time this season...

ARE YOU READY?

IT'S THE FINAL TIME

TO FACE

THE MUSIC!

Guess the nature of the rounds mean that people have already had to play their strongest hands to get this far... albeit that's actually one of my favourite PSBs tracks <3 but I can't imagine it is the same for the majority. Both the Xtina and Avril songs aren't really highlights of theirs for me I'm afraid

Avril would have won with Head Above Water, Keep Holding On, What The Hell …

Take Me Away is good but probably not for the final!

Christina is fuming that Impossible, Obvious, You Lost Me didn't feature at all in this comp 😉

Makes the comp exciting i have just listened to all three in a row!

Will listen to PSB more as new for me!

It was difficult to choose between Left To My Own Devices and What Have I Done To Deserve This. Left To My Own Devices is my favourite Pet Shop Boys song and it does have recent form, finishing 2nd in the Trevor Horn Rate, so I decided to go with it. Going into the semi-finals, I thought I would need both songs as we were told we needed ten in total but it turned out that only applied to those who went into the Golden Wagner round.

I wish I hadn't used Always On My Mind in the first round but I didn't know then which acts had been sent by everyone else so I wanted to play it safe at the start. Anyway, I'm glad that the Pet Shop Boys still have a chance.

Oh that's a surprising song choice for Avril!

This is the easiest vote of all for me.

Fun fact: the top 3 being solo female / solo female / group is something that never happened in all 15 series' of The X Factor. We're guaranteed not to match the eventual outcome in the first season (and probably never will with BuzzJacksarah) and if Pet Shop Boys go on to win they'll have achieved 'first group to win' status seven seasons before a group managed to win The X Factor!

I actually LOOOOOVE that Avril song. However, I am confused that it wasn't one of the following singles:

Keep Holding On, Girlfriend (!), Hot, The Best Damn Thing, What The Hell & Rock N Roll

I really think these may have fared better. I think out of the choices I would have probably gone a bit risky and sent a fave of mine, 'Wish You Were Here', but I get why most wouldn't. I'm just a huge sucker for a BIIIIG Avril ballad. But 'Under My Skin' is a phenomenal album and an all time favourite of mine that pretty much most/all the tracks would be guaranteed to get SOMEWHERE in any round for me.

It's not the most vintage three final choices for an event like this...

I might have added another round where the Top 3 get to choose their favourite performing enter from the series and re-send that again as the final song choice, but that's fine.

And for completion, given all the entries Ellie Goulding has had represented in a round so far, her final entry of this competition would surely have to be the one that started it all off for her and put her on the map in British music history;

Given the other three songs on offer in this final round, I'm not convinced Ellie would finish last either.

Anyway, if this is my last comment on the matter then I want to thank Calum for hosting this marvellous event and one of the best BuzzJack events I've participated in for a very long time. A true highlight of 2025 and one that will surely get its moment to shine in the BuzzJack Awards 2025! ❤️

Oh no 😭

The Avril songs have been perfection and played perfectly until this point, I adore Take Me Away but a fall at the final hurdle with selections here when Keep Holding On, What The Hell, Hot and Girlfriend are out there seems to have handed a win to Xtinct for her having the most commercial / recognised song here. I really thought she might take this honestly.

Voted all the same ❤️

Girlfriend or Hello Kitty for me! This feels a bit like the Army choice for Ellie Goulding lol

shocked at Avril, I though Girlfriend was the obvious final song, although I was hopping for Head over water

PSB has the widest catalog so no surprise they have the best song

the Christina one I never liked

Really missing The Saturdays here. Funny for a pop competition there seems to be an aversion to some cheesy pop!

I feel like Head Above Water could’ve potentially been the best choice for Avril, Girlfriend I’m not so sure thinking but Take Me Away is a great song, certainly a final round I wasn’t expecting but not lacking in quality regardless!
