Ordered my '99 Extra from Amazon and at time of writing it's out for delivery today. However it's via Royal Mail so that remains to be seen.

This is well worth the money, almost all the correct edits and mixes that were hits at the time. Must admit, that is not the version of the Blondie song I remember, but looks like that was the lead mix on the cassette single?

So many songs I haven't heard for such a long time and remember so fondly. And it's just wonderful to see the likes of Say It Again, In Our Lifetime and Back In My Life on a Now release and Friends Forever for the first time. The Charlotte/A*Teens sequence <3 I had to start with Disc 3 as these are some of my favourite ever songs, but I will go through the other two properly at the weekend.

One change I would make is probably open Disc 1 with Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!! or save it for a prominent place on Final Chapter, it was way bigger than any other song on here and feels marooned halfway through disc three but maybe they wanted to stick the three ABBA rip-offs all next to each other.

I'm relieved to hear that more effort has been put into this edition. '99 was a cracking year for pop music so I'm very much looking forward to listening to this once I get my hands on it! Also, I agree that the Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!! should have been either Disc 1 Track 1, or saved for the The Final Chapter.

Seeing as they include songs on both yearbook 60s and main yearbooks and Steal My Sunshine and Barber’s Adagio For Strings appeared on both 1999 yearbook and millennium 2000-2001, it makes me wonder if they’ll include any songs on both yearbook 60s volume 4 and 1970 yearbooks? In my opinion, the songs that had a 1969-1970 chart run should go on the 1970 yearbooks regardless of whether they peaked in 1969 or 1970 so there’s room for more 1969 songs on yearbook 60s volume 4

Graham North posted this on the NOW Collectors Group on Facebook. Any clue what this could mean? I believe it's VAULT '86.

It will be vault 1986. I’m hoping some more Top Gun songs appear on there and I reckon the remaining vaults will go in order. As for release date, I reckon it will be 18th September which will be smack in the middle between the 1971 yearbook and extra 1971. Seeing as David Sylvian has two songs from 1986 that haven’t yet appeared, I wonder which one they’ll include on vault 1986? Taking The Veil or Silver Moon? I’ll be surprised if they don’t include him at all

I'm sincerely hoping it's Vault 1986. I'm expecting to not know most of the songs by title alone and hopefully one or two hidden gems that will make me think "Oh yeah, that song!"

If it’s the Vault for 1986, I probably would expect Danger Zone to be on there…

It’s already on extra 1986. I expect his other Top Gun song Playing With The Boys to be on there. I also hope there’s no track repetition this time like there was on vault 1984 and vault 1985 although they got it right on the latter

As is often the way, I don't know many of these so lots to discover. Candy by Cameo is a classic though, and surely notable enough to have been on at least the Extra.

Eurythmics next to The Lover Speaks is good sequencing considering Annie had such a big hit with her cover.

Good apart from no Queen, Pet Shop Boys, Doctor & The Medics or songs from the Top Gun soundtrack. Nice to see ABC on there seeing as they chose the wrong song of theirs for vault 1985. They should’ve chose Vanity Kills for vault 1985 with Be Near Me on extra 1985

Nothing wrong, just the fact he gets a big leg up on all of these albums so often, appearing on Extras when songs are more suited to the Vault (going by chart success), opening a disc here when so many bigger acts could have done.

I think this will be about the 14th Yearbook release he's appeared on, yet he made the top 40 four times as a solo artist.

I don't think any artist should be given a better deal personally just because the compiler likes them. It would be like me compiling late 90s/early 00s yearbooks and featuring everything by Sarah McLachlan or Jewel that made no impact here.

A Goodbye should’ve been the Cameo song to appear on here and Candy should’ve been on extra 1986. They did this with ABC on 1985. They included Be Near Me on vault 1985 instead of Vanity Kills when Be Near Me should’ve been on extra 1985
