Thank you to all the voters so much. How funny that it’s the second song contest in the space of three months that I’ve won on this site that I’ve been sitting on since 2021 and passed over for BJSC because I have imposter syndrome with pop as others do it so well.

Come back in eight years for Schlagerfest III then I guess!

Really liking a lot of the top ten, delighted to see my two faves in Skall and Summericia (who actually understood the title of the contest) come top five! And my third fave in Cor Lupus third, I couldn’t ask for much better results.

Ooh my crystal ball was on the money congrats Rich!! Pleased with that winner as PHELLY got my bronze medal. Fantastic to see my 12 pointer Toxe just behind in 2nd place. My whole podium did pretty well with silver medal Bronzil in 7th also; thanks for another good Yndling discovery, Jim.

Happy with 6th for Emilíana Torrini! Glad I haven't totally lost my touch in spin-offs after the disastrous result in the Halloween one last time

In all these years I’m sure I’ve never won a BJSC spin-off before, in shock 😭

Well congrats Rich then - was indeed a winner I voted for but only just as I swapped it into my 1 point slot after my relisten! (knocked out Cor Lupus with them swapping over in 10th/11th but I see that hasn't affected either of their positions x) I still think the similarity to 'Tattoo' was being a little overstated but I can hear it a bit in the production ~

Excellent to see my 12 pointer coming 2nd (and I guess it's good for the integrity of the theme that it lost out to a more poppy song lol - I think there is somewhat of a fundamental flaw in trying to host a pop-centric spinoff that it tends to be the less pop-leaning people who actually enter (and vote in!) spinoffs in general, but I digress x) and I also voted for all of 4th through 9th, pleasantly surprised at how high Kikka (RIP) and The Embassy finished! Oops at my prediction for Julie Bergan being way off and that actually ending up being one of the lowest finishing songs that I voted for, I thought that would have pretty strong cross appeal ah well, Addy has had plenty of success elsewhere recently to make up for it otherwise was only VIAN from my faves who mildly underperformed although I did think this was a bit more lowkey than their previous entry.

Came in only 1 place lower than I did in the first Schlagerfest and avoiding the bottom 5, could be worse! It was a pretty rushed last minute replacement entry and although I do really like it myself I did think its appeal would probably be fairly limited. Now just waiting for the main contest result to see if it was worthwhile pulling Maustetytöt out of this

Thanks for hosting Noche, nice to have a spinoff again for the first time in a while x (please if anyone ever has ideas / wants to host one do go ahead - I guess we're due for a Christmas spinoff this year to continue the usual alternating between that and Halloween but I'm sure we can squeeze another spinoff in some time in the mean time x)

Just realised that this is the first time I have hosted something on the new site, both harder and easier than I expected- I now know how to plan for it for another time. There was supposed to be a bit more formatting in the scoreboard - in the end it did not look too bad I guess 😅

(At least the quote thing is still just as difficult, although now in a bit more irritating and harmless way)

Second to last for myself was expected. Movies II and Collaboration remain the only times I have been outside of the bottom 5 while hosting

Mystic Jade confirmed, loved yours btw too - I sent Jungle Drum way wayyyy back in 2009 to the main contest but had never sought out her very early stuff. Was lovely to hear that.

I really thought Say Lou Lou would walk this so my predictions were way off.

Congrats Rich! I had an Yndling, sorry inkling it might do quite well, and after about three listens it was the clear standout tune here!

Happy with my first ever top 10 finish in a spin-off contest just Nuggets to cross off that list from the regular contest fixtures now, I think!

Rather surprised but chuffed to be as high as 4th here as it was one of those sort of tracks I was gonna enter to BJSC in 2021 I think and then found something else instead so seeing Schlager-fest pop up saw an opportunity lol.

I’m in Vegas rn and have been completely checked out from this all week and only managed to squeeze in my votes before I left 😂 congrats to Rich! It reminded me more of an Ava Max song than it did Tattoo but still a great one 👍

If i was gonna be honest i had zero expectations for this 😂 my initial plan was to send something in a language other than English but all the ones i found kinda sucked 😅 so i went with this one from the archives and needless to say im VERY surprised at how this performed! Second spin-off podium EVER and my best finish in this area of song contests in THREE YEARS 😭😭😭 thanks to everyone who voted for Maja including all the silver medals! 🧡🧡🧡
