Here for Jade being way ahead in the top 3 and close to 2.

Today's update is actually really exciting there's loads going on. I'm curious what Ed's sales will be, How 21P have done, Jade's sales and whether she's close to 21P (Or even ahead) and then I'm curious now Sophie's with universal whether her sales are better? Also, I'm curious where Mimi Webb will be (Not a fan of her stuff) but going off the back of her having no hits and barely top 30 on iTunes will she even be top 20?

Mimi Webb's falloff has been insane. She had a pretty successful debut era, scored a few hits, and now is majorly struggling. It's strange as the material has been largely solid and not too different from the last album.

I find it crazy just how everyone seemed to lose interest at once. She constantly streamed well, then nothing. I don't think I can remember anyone having such a dramatic downturn. I wonder if that's the reason though she hasn't done anything different, it's literally all been the same or whether it's a 'tiktok' thing where she's just not flavour of the month now. She was almost a viral moment that's now passed. I know from seeing her live at something it was all so lacklustre she didn't really have any star appeal despite a couple of her songs being ok.

Not maybe exactly comparable but I find the same with Lizzo and Lil Nas X, used to do huge streaming numbers now absolutely nothing for their past releases! It's so odd.

Lizzy did have that big controversy though which probably didnt help her cause

Largely solid… really? Every song of hers sounds the same and there’s nothing about her that stands out from the crowd. Generic beyond belief. But I wish her well!

Waiiittttt... did people really think Mimi would last beyond a couple of hits? Her career has gone pretty much the way I expected in all honesty. Definitely wasn't expecting her to last beyond those few hits a couple of years ago.

Really excited to see the mid week info today for the albums. I assume it's going to be close between JADE and Sabrina (if it's close then Sabrina will have it unless JADE can pull some discounts and things throughout the week)

I wonder what makes people just suddenly turn off from an artist though. Like, why was Mimi Webb scoring regular "hits" and then just stopped, in spite of the material not really wavering in quality?

this is not me defending the quality of the first album, these songs are... mostly just as mid xx

I thought it was a known(ish) thing that a lot of artists (especially female) massively drop off after the initial hype is gone

I assume it's just a "flavour of the month" thing and others who started at a similar time (Tate for example) just blew up to bigger things, with more interesting material. Rag'n'Bone Man can be an example of this tbh. He fell off in a big way when Lewis blew up, despite having a huge first era.

There's also seemingly that unwritten rule where only a couple of women are allowed to break out at any one time.. but shhh ;) (jk, kinda, not really, but also I am)

All of Mimi’s songs have been sounding the same for a while and her socials barely get any engagement now. It’s funny because she will say she’s trying a new sound but then it sounds the same and as generic as everything else. Even her Christmas song was dull. People thought she would blow up like Tate McRae but her album dropped and hardly no one’s talking about it. I’m sad for her but not shocked.

I love Mimi's new album and her last but apart from this album being a bit more r&b-pop to the last, its quite samey.

I think the problem is there are so many pop girlie's at their peak right now you need to stand out or go viral in some way and she's got neither.

I think it just seems dramatic that she had a run of fairly sizeable hits from her first album, to nothing even charting from the second just a year or two later.

(Not that I'm complaining)
