Delighted for Perrie, its a great start and she is safe to have an official top 5 album and also great to see Jade on track to stay top 50 again this week.

Lovely to see Girls Aloud back in the chart at 15 but i really hope they can manage to stay top 40 by the end of the week.

Really surprised Mariah Carey is as low as 16, i was sure she would at least be top 10 starting the week.

I don't get this - LM5 and Confetti were both platinum albums so were definitely big eras, albeit not as huge as Glory Days (which benefits from having five big hits on its tracklist). Jade didn't wr

What does Mariah have to do to sell a decent amount of albums in the UK ☹️

She’ll sell out arena shows but struggles to sell 10k albums.

Mariah’s at the stage of the game now where she’s a legend and a tour will sell based off her extensive catalogue but outside chart forums and her core fanbase I don’t know if the general public are aware that she has an album out.

Having said that though I kinda expected her to be where she is now on the final chart on Friday though!

Mariahs at that stage in her career where people only care about the annoying christmas song, kelly Clarkson and leona lewis are 2 other examples sadly 😅

Ya i think i was expecting the same come Friday or higher but id say its likely now she will be lucky to stay top 30.

To be fair, Mariah has taken 7 years between albums (of which the last one basically did nothing) and has basically just been promoting herself as the "Queen of Christmas" in that time so she hasn't exactly helped herself in that regard.

Mariah has no official UK store and some shops aren't even stocking her album, so it's not a surprise.

I was hoping for higher sales for perrie, I don't own any of little mix albums but I do really enjoy perrie's album.

Sad for Zara cry the album deserves so much more than that. Pleasantly surprised by Perrie's performance!

Just wanted to share my thoughts (and frustrations) about how this Mariah release is being handled in the UK. I’ve seen a lot of her fans on social media say the same.

Any UK fans who wanted all the editions had no choice but to order from Mariah’s US store – it’s the only place that’s stocked all variants plus only one she was promoting on her socials. I bought all five myself, and I know I’m not alone… but none of those sales will count towards the UK charts.

To make it worse I checked HMV Manchester on Friday and they literally had just 2 CDs and 1 vinyl in store. That’s it in a major city on release day for such a huge artist that is crazy

It feels like the UK fanbase is being overlooked. Loads of us are still buying everything we can to support her – but because the sales are going through the US site, they won’t help her chart here.

Definitely very strange of her label to not have an artist store for UK, particularly as she did a reasonably significant amount of promotion here! I haven't even bought it (yet) because I prefer a variant that's only available in the US, but I suppose for ease I'll settle for what's being sold here. Oddly her previous label made the same mistake with Caution.

Bizarre move by Mariah’s team not to have a UK store - as mentioned, they’ve bothered to get her over here for promo, she headlined Brighton Pride, and AIWFC is a solid seller each year so there is still a market for her here that could be tapped into further.

I agree Mariah would be on MUCH better sales probably even top 10 if she had a UK store, signed CD/Vinyl like the US had and a couple of bundles / UK exclusive vinyl etc...

It's a shame really because it's made her UK promo a little pointless.

I mean how hard was it to sign some inserts while she was in the UK backstage etc...

I believe the sales will still count to the UK charts as long as you’ve got a UK address (which I assume you do) and they report the sales to the OCC. As an official artist store I would imagine they do.

I think Olivia's got this in the bag this week. Her streams are up from last week, whilst Golden's streams are down from last week.

I think the Glee cover charted decently in 2011 and it was most recently used well to comedic effect in an episode of And Just Like That (the sex and the city continuation series).

Been listening to the glee version in anticipation (usually my doorway into musical numbers im unfamiliar with anyway 😅) and yeah I can see For good having a DG style run
