And the reasons why is because this album has only 12 songs apparently, (compare to her last one which was what double album or something?!!!) and the streams will just be so much easier to achieve record breaking numbers etc. etc..

Only having 12 songs might be more of a disadvantage on that front, since the albums chart allows the 16 biggest tracks from the album to count towards album sales so it's missing out on 4 potential track's worth of sales.

Actually 12 songs is an advantage in the UK as its based on average of the top 12 songs minus the highest 2 (so average of the next 10)

Or all tracks where album has less than 16 , so if the attention is given to less tracks surely thats an advantage

I suppose the top 2 tracks would benefit by being downweighted to the average of tracks 3-12 rather than tracks 3-16, but I don't think that would outweigh 4 extra tracks' worth of streams in most cases.

100-150k. Though that’s probably an underestimate.

She's definitely doing more than 300k units in the UK based on 2.7 million pure sales she did in the US on first day.

I think she will be very close. TTPD did an additional 500k the rest of the week after it sold 1.4 million on it's first day, so if The Life of a Showgirl does the same it would put it at 3.2 million pure sales.

I initially thought 240/50k but now given the streams I think it might be nearer 300k.

No surprise she’s chucked out yet more versions, although didn’t billboard ban more than four variants counting towards an album sale earlier this year?

Although it is inevitable I really don’t want Adele’s record to be broken because she did that with just good old-fashioned sales and no variants. I think it’s more impressive that 3.3m people bought one copy than much less people buying anywhere between 1 and 20 copies.
