Why the Britney Spears reference? 'Gimme More' is a song at least four minutes long and this edition will involve the length.

Madonna - 4 Minutes (not mentioning the other two for the second edition in a row )

The requirements are simple. Your entry not only needs to be within the boundaries of pop but also to be at the minimum length of 4 minutes (4:00).

We are not allowing 3-minute songs or shorter this time, so countless songs are not eligible. There needs to be at least 4 minutes of audio (any audio counts: vinyl crackles, ambience, speech, fades, etc.), excluding silences at the start and end.

The Contest Rules:

• Any song entered must not have reached the Top 100 in the Official UK Chart, and you cannot submit any song by any artist in the UK top 40 during the confirmations period

• Any song entered must not have reached the Top 20 in another song contest on BuzzJack

• Any artist entered must not have an Artist Forum (Club) on BuzzJack

• Any song considered to have an unfair advantage over other songs or that may fall under veto rules widely used on BuzzJack may be vetoed

• Any artist entered is entitled to one entry per contest; this will be on a first come, first served basis

The entries will go through a final review for any rule break before the song list / voting topic (thread), which should arrive at least 19 hours after the deadline.

This is an anonymous contest.

No telling or hinting on your entry or Lil Nas X will take your horse.

I somehow have nothing for this so I just went with the first thing from my playlists I thought fit the brief

Submitted my entry, after much deliberation.

Up to 19 now!

Don't worry if the music video / single edit is under 4 minutes. I will be taking their album / extended versions.

Really struggling to find something for this without it seeming a bit *too* cheap!!! My favourite kind of pop are those that last less than 4 minutes! Lol. I think 3:20-ish is (on average) THE perfect length for a pop song!

I’m intrigued to see if anyone has tried to go for that song.

Not Fleeting. But that other much discussed one. I would if it hadn’t been in the Multichart but (even though I’ve confirmed something by a known artist) I thought that may be call for veto, even at a more relaxed level.

I think that song will turn up in the Best of 2025 PFSC anyway if it's not here, along with Fleeting. I did consider it too but thought it might be a veto too so went for something less obvious.

While most submissions are safe, there are few currently under further review.

What is considered pop, or rather, pop enough can get very tricky. I don't have the final say on that part at least.

In case they don't pass, please prepare another song to confirm. I hope it doesn't come to that, I would love to show what you brought soon! You have been good so far!

If it’s the song I’m thinking of… yes. Yes it has been tried and yes it’s been vetoed!

Maybe we’ll see it in Best of… idk. I like that to be a bit more relaxed as a general celebration of Pop through the year. But I am working on a new set of rules for it…
