Considering the price of the Aerosmith & YUNGBLUD EP should it not be on the Budget Album chart?

So Man I Need and Golden numbers 1 & 2 without ACR, with Wham and Mariah not far behind/climbing?

The new vinyl ships on December 19th…

From my understanding Taylor is doing a big push Christmas week. There's a rumoured Christmas-themed music video for "Opalite" that's been filmed. Her focus will mainly be on the US but wouldn't be surprised if Taylor pushes for the Christmas #1 on both the album and singles chart!

Suspect Taylor just a squeak ahead of “Golden”, based on sales for “Golden” x2 less a 600 download estimate.

I hope that some of the Christmas crap falls out on Friday. I thought I’d give POTP a listen yesterday and the charts there weren’t clogged up by Christmas

1 month to go exactly they'll probably actually be more 🤭

Hopefully the Boxing Day chart gets cancelled and the Christmas Day streams will probably get lost like Thursdays streams usually do. The charts are supposed to be about fresh NEW music, not old stale music and if people wanna call me Scrooge, I’ll happily wear that badge of honour

Checked radio 1 website and there’s no weekly chart on Boxing Day. It’s gonna be an EOY chart instead. Right idea not having a chart on Boxing Day when it’s gonna be clogged up with Christmas crap

Guess that confirms that it’s not a 53 week chart year and the last week of the year will count towards 2026 despite 6/7 days being in 2025

Charts have never been about FRESH music though they have always been about tracking whats POPULAR 🤭

It was about fresh music until they decided to open the floodgates. In terms of Christmas songs clogging up the charts, 2023 was the worst because they entered the charts quickest and got number 1 quickest

Thats why I'd rather songs weren't reset after Xmas, keep them on acr and let new music take predecent

I think it's possible they'd still count the last week of the year for 2025, with the OCC publishing a revised EOY list afterward. I seem to recall that happening in previous years but correct me if I'm wrong

That would be truly sickening.

If anything I'd say it's The Beatles who are under-performing this week, I thought a lot more than 7k people would be rushing to buy the latest Anthology! I know it will be a far from perfect comparison but do we know what the previous Anthologies opened with?
