Sunday at 08:391 day Lots of names I recognise. Had bbno$ on my potentials for ages but held off from sending thinking his social media presence was too big it would garner a veto! Very happy to see my debut duo from 2015 here, Marian Hill!
Sunday at 08:401 day Not saying I knew my entry was cheap but I did make sure I logged on yesterday lunchtime to make sure I had no PM from gooddelta A rare occasion I will definitely have time to properly partake so thought I'd just enter my favourite song released in the last few months, couldn't find any specific discussion on here about it
Sunday at 08:581 day Completely forgot to say, but I need a strobe warning as well Sorry @gooddelta 🖤
Sunday at 08:591 day lol at everyone knowing and considering bbno$ including myself. Looks like we have a winner this month already x

Sunday at 09:031 day Would become quite the lore if a nation who have been absent from the contest for over 100 contests or more come back and win on their first attempt.
Sunday at 09:051 day Initial hype in SF1 to Dalisska for sending absolute mother Flora Fishbach. Bird calling has never been so catchy 25 minutes ago, dandy* said:Is it too late to move Colm and Matto to semi 2 please? 🙏But Nelly loves Tori 🖤
Sunday at 09:161 day f5ve was my other choice for this month so excited to see them here ❤️🔥. also utopia HYPE

Sunday at 09:541 day So it's a three horse race then between bbno$, Tori Amos and f5ve... who would you put your money on? 🤔
Sunday at 09:551 day Love all the ToriTalk in this thread! I was 20 when I first head Tori's music for the first time, very early 1994. Actually, the first time I heard her, I was confused. I siwitched on Mtv when Cornflake Girl was playing, right in the 'you bet your life it is' bit, and for a second I was thinking: a new Kate Bush song that is not on The Red Shoes??? Of course they played Rubberband Girl right after Cornflake Girl. Not long after that, Under The Pink came out, and my musical love affair with Tori started. With some ups (1994-2003 mostly) and downs (sorry, but Midwinter Graces is a NO from me). I don't play her music that often these days, but man, when I do, I FEEL it. Same with Kate, Joni, Sarah McLachlan, Lisa Germano. I just remembered when I met her and I explained how my name is pronounced, and my non-Dutch friends just call me 'Wow', she kept saying 'Bye Wow' when we said goodbye.

It’s just that a few of us like to talk about her a lot whenever we have an excuse to!
Sunday at 10:011 day WoW73, your discovery was about a month behind mine, I got Little Earthquakes in early December 1993 and was absolutely blown away - Winter and China made me cry. Then Under the Pink came out and I spent months listening to it - particularly the journey that the second half is. It's still in my top 5 albums ever and Winter hasn't left my top 5 singles ever either. Right now it's back at the top. Edited Sunday at 10:031 day by Colm

But anyway, I second the hype to that song. 🤭 I haven't started listening to my semi yet but I did hear that one a few times and it's awesome. At just two minutes exactly, I think it's the shortest song in this edition. Doesn't feel that short to me! I really hope Dalisska can qualify. And yes I was gonna say I also love and am tickled by all the ToriTalk here haha. Under The Pink was the first album I heard in full (I don't remember why it was that one specifically) and it went from there. I'm actually even partial to Midwinter Graces and do like to play it around Christmas time. Or at least used to, I haven't played any Christmas music yet this year and not sure if I listened to it last year.
Sunday at 10:311 day Oh I'm sorry - did AllStarBySmashMouth have an even longer break? 😯 For some reason I assumed Dalisska had the longest break here. Please feel free to enlighten me.
Sunday at 15:421 day Now I’m not at work, I can respond to this properly.Very much in love with my entry this contest and happy to see the only person who I know knows it (Jim) in my semi!Hype for Taahino - the third contest on the bounce that my second choice entry has been sent, hopefully it’ll result in another top 10 for that stat for Lindsey’s sake ❤️ and THRILLED to see XG’s Gala has finally got its moment in the sun after that momentary saga a few contests ago. One of my most played songs of the last few months.Hype to Evangelia too, dunno how that’ll go down but happy I’m in that semi.Fingers crossed to making it through another year of semis unscathed.
Sunday at 23:481 day Can we normalise waiting until we've actually heard the songs to name potential winners rather than just assuming the contenders will be whichever songs people already know before the contest x (disregarding that that has kind of ended up being the case a few times recently, but it certainly wasn't last month, Mattias aside).17 hours ago, Cody Piastri said:as a Stray Kids stan myself I feel obligated to give all my love to Zephyra Continuum 🧡Hmm it wasn't quite the lore that was being set up for this contest which will now forever remain a mystery but still 2 nepo siblings in this contest (Absolutely being RAYE's sister and hannah bahng being Bang Chan from Stray Kids' sister). 14 hours ago, blacksquare said:Initial hype in SF1 to Dalisska for sending absolute mother Flora Fishbach. Please feel free to enlighten me.Yes, Lentyll's original run in the contest (as New Rivermaya) ended in BJSC 22 so they had a gap of 157 contests before returning! Stats dump time xDalisska's gap of 97 contests is the 4th longest ever though so quite a coincidence that it happens to be dwarfed by another returnee in the same month. (The 2nd longest was also this year - Yuxhaaq returning in BJSC 172 after a 125 contest gap - and the 3rd longest was Land of Jack returning in BJSC 153 after a 105 contest gap). There have been 2 cases before of countries returning from long breaks and winning straight away, FARC with SOHN in BJSC 62 after a 45 contest gap and N DNTN with Doss in BJSC 133 after a 31 contest gap. Surprisingly only 3 other winners were return entries at all and all of those were after missing just 1 contest! (Medhelnia with Clare Maguire in BJSC 98, Ojnoj with Kim Petras in BJSC 102 and most recently Fljótavík with Ninajirachi just a few months ago in BJSC 176).
Sunday at 23:501 day Aside x Semi 1 listenthrough tomorrow (Monday) evening? I'm happy to host (provided I am awake at 8pm etc.) Thanks Rich for sorting out the YouTube playlists and saving me the effort, 2 contests in a row, blessed by our recent hosts 😎
