Well that was… an episode. The Lalaparuza is normally exciting when the songs are a mixed bunch of songs by different artists but when it’s all RuPaul songs for the 719475th time, I just can’t get excited. There’s only so much “cat-cat-catcatcat” to Call Me Mother that I can take before my eyes roll back fully into my skull.

Ciara and her constant Substance references I absolutely lived for though. And making it past at least Athena was rewarding to watch.

Now that I’ve rewatched most of Juicy’s lip syncs this season, she really is the moment. Absolutely untouchable in this last episode, she just knew she was going to win.

Oh and the format of the lip syncs was a really good idea, I absolutely despise when there’s a head to head battle format with participant numbers as not 8 or 16 x

Darlene has got the most fan support, Nini has the most versatility (I don't know they try to push that Myki is good at comedy and design when she is a very good actress/comedian but her looks are very hit or miss)

Myki ate this season

Wow, Nini DEVOURED that final, not even close. I just knew they couldn’t give it to her because of the end of her track record but if it was solely based off the final, then she made the other two look poor. I was watching with my boyfriend who hasn’t seen an episode and he thought it was obvious but based off the series, Myki does make sense. She’s just not exciting in any way but clearly talented.

Nini obviously had the best song hands down and a stunt in the final lipsync, but I would have hated if she was crowned based on just that performance!!

Myki was my favorite and a queen all around, so her winning felt correct and very much deserved <3

I know it’s not Myki’s fault but it just felt like “oh I guess she’ll do” since Jane wasn’t there, especially as they are similar types of queen who’s strengths were comedy/acting but Jane had the looks and design down too. It’s not disappointing and based on the whole season out of who’s left yeah she was the right winner, but it’s just more of an “oh cool :)” and nothing else reaction for me.

NINI F***ING COCO!! If she has no fans then I’m dead. She absolutely killed every moment of that final but I get why she couldn’t be crowned after the last few weeks, I’m just glad that she made it as far as she did and gave every moment her all down to the final lispync. Myki deserved to win after how well she performed from start to finish.

It doesn't seem to be the popular opinion online but I do think Myki won the final lip-sync — she had a lot of stage presence without needing to do too much and connected to the song more. I'll give credit to Nini who ate her performance though (in a lovely wig)

Darlene is a ray of sunshine but watching her in the finale was like seeing what would happen if an early-out was randomly given the chance to skip to the finale. Being the 'robbed' fan favourite was the best outcome for her

I strangely didn't feel the weight of Jane Don't during her run on the show, but the finale without her (and last few weeks) just felt like choosing the best supporting actress

Anyway! The cast has great chemistry and I really grew to love most of them, but ultimately it was just another season of Drag Race and Myki was a fine winner x

Myki absolutely did!

She may not be the most juggernaut winner but as a queen I love her - you can tell her drag mothers and family were all trans drag queens

Only just getting around to watching the season now! First episode was great. Vita should've won outright as what she did was stunning but Nini Coco winning felt good after the girls were mad at her being top. Really like the cast so far - seems like there's going to be a lot of drama to look forward to!

Edit: 2nd episode was another good one, Jane ate and deservedly won. DD Fuego was a disappointment. Mandy Mango ate her up in the lip sync, yes Mandy *_*

Edit 2: 3rd episode was OK. Not the biggest fan of RDR Live, mainly as US humour doesn't usually do it for me. Juicy was a pleasant surprise though! Mandy going was the right call as she was the weakest and wasn't quite able to adapt to the challenges as needed.7

Edit 3: 4th episode was good! Very happy Vita won! Also loved to twist of pairs against each other - they should do that more often in the design challenges! Happy to see Briar go, they were my least favourite.

Rate a Queen Part 1

Mia and Juicy served it the f*** up, damn! Both their talent numbers and then the very deserved tie for the lip sync for the win! Nini was great and Darlene so stupid - honestly Darlene is my guilty pleasure. Also loved Ciara Myst sharing her story regarding the poem, very heartfelt - a shame the performance didn't hit like she wanted it to. It started off strong/interesting but flatlined sadly. Honestly thought Vita would've been bottom as it was the worst/least interesting performance which I was not expecting!

Rate a Queen Part 2

Rigga morris! Athena being top 2 my ass Granted she did give a good lip sync! Shocked Myki was bottom though!!! Loved her lip sync and how sultry/sensual she was despite her outfit. It felt like the right time for Ciara to go.

Drag Queens for Change

So many queens did good! I couldn't pick between Darlene and Myki who was my fav. Then others like Kenya, Discord, Nini and Athena all did really well too! Bottom two was the right call and Juicy defo won the lip sync. So sad/shocked to see Vita out so early - I thought she was one of the ones that was going all the way to the final.

Snatch Game of Love Island

Nini ateeee. Quite liked the format. Discord as the Pope my god... she was 100% high but they couldn't put her there because of the controversy most likely Myki and Jane did great though!

Shocked but happy to see Kenya beat Mia! Another shock elim. This season is so good so far!

\Fannie: The Hard Knock Ball Rusical

Really good musical! Jane rightfully winning but honestly could've been a double win. Kenya was so good and loved Darlene as well. Athena vs Juicy was so emotional 3 weeks in a row of hard hitters going home, damn! Thought Athena would make it further too.

Drag in a Bag

Possibly one of the best design challenges...ever? In terms of the average, every queen did SO well! Not one bad look or even meh look - I thought everyone looked at minimum good! Jane ate though with the fabric she was forced to create. Kenya was stunning too - so happy Kenya is blossoming! Jane surprised my in the lip sync for the win!

A Toast to Alyssa Edwards

So happy Darlene won, she was just so stupid Sad to see Kenya go but it was her time. She'd make a great All Stars contestant in a few years! Juicy gave a great lip sync.

Mammas, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Drag Queens

Wanted Darlene to win, but Myki did great too so not mad! Juicy did so good too. Was the right time for Discord to go - I loved her exit walk and the "see you on all stars" last line

Karens Gone Wild

Omg that AWFUL mini challenge. The crew winning it for sitting through the unedited version... Myki defo the winner. Shocked at how poorly Jane did - I thought she would crush it. And to go out One of the best track records ever to then go low-elim damn. Jane will 100% be back at some point to win an All Stars (I hope). With Jane out it really blows open the entire competition...

Good Morning Bitches

Darlene I wish she won solo. She's my fav of the season! So happy to see Nini stay over Juicy. Certainly wasn't expecting a top 3 this season and it was not the top 3 I expected. I thought it would've been Vita, Jane & Athena with Mia 4th. Glad this season has had lots of great surprises!

All RuPaul-A-Paruza Smackdown

Gagged that Ciara Myst beat Athena, like what?! I also thought Mandy beat Mia... Mandy gave a much tighter lip sync although her death drops do need work

Vita vs Mia was so good, although I would've given it to Vita by a hair. Kenya vs Ciara was really fun, Kenya defo won but Ciara surprised me! I LOVE Jane for picking "Sissy That Walk" against discord and when they both walked together, my favourite lip sync moment of the night and possibly one of my favourites of all time

I felt so sorry for Jane given her choices She did so well vs Juicy though, great lip sync. Kenya vs Mia such a great lip sync but I really wanted Kenya to go through!

Juicy vs Mia final lip sync - they both ate again amazing. I could just watch both of them lip sync against each other over and over again Was very close but Juicy winning felt correct.

Season 18 Grand Finale

Nini had the best performance followed by Myki. I really wish Darlene had a shot for the lip sync for the crown as she was my winner. Good finale and congrats to Myki for winning! I will say Myki is probably my least favourite winner of the US franchise so far - I didn't really connect to her much. Overall the season was great but a lot of the queens I really liked/enjoyed just didn't go as far as I wanted which was a bit disappoint. I can't really argue with the judging either as I think this season is probably one of the least rigged seasons I've watched? Challenge winners I pretty much agreed with and the bottom queens. Big heavy hitters being taken out week after week as well was gagging to watch. Vita-Mia-Athena elim order was crazy. All 3 I thought would make it either to the final or be very close.
