Happy household again this month as Ajanaeda and Mothertopia both qualify, yay!

I'm otherwise quite happy with those SF2 results. I had voted Botanikka before it was taken out of competition so I feel like I only lost one country from my votes. Trifoski deserved better though! It would've got more points for me in most months I think but the quality was super high here.

  • Oh that is gutting 😪

  • Girls I'm very disappointed. 😪 I know I keep saying it but I really hope to come back and get three Qs in a row very soon. I've lost several of my high points but especially happy for Dalisska.

  • Nice to see Lee Chanhyuk went through - it is a big favourite in the Zephyra Continuum. We will definitely be back next month with another entry and hope to reach our first final then.

Doomed you say Frank? Respect the gabber!

WOW, this is Christmas miracle level luck, thank you Everyone voting for 'Amsterdam...'!

I lost 3 from my votes, I was happy to finally give proper high points to Scotland 2 and I really enjoyed Deandria and Macromia, too.

08 Cheiron

02 New Lexico

01 Altyr Muunilinst

GAGGED at Inji not making it… what?! Really disappointed that didn’t make it as it sounded like a definite hit to me. Definitely proves why you can never get too confident for these things because even the ones in your mind that are “sure fire qualifiers” sometimes don’t pick up the votes you expect.

Thank you to everyone who voted for Hendinia though and have got me to the big 60 *wipes brow*

INJI was on my radar as well, and definitely thought it was going to be a hit!!!

That was my 8 pointer if I had voted, but now I see that still it wouldn’t be enough to put it through the Q threshold!!!

My other two voters were Summericia 6 points and Altyr 3 points :o

Cheiron unfortunately did just get unlucky with the people that weren't able to vote I think. We were down two pop voters, plus Addy said he'd give 8 which would have had it safely in with maybe 20-25 more points overall being presumptive. I would presume Altyr suffered the same fate.

I'm not too sure if Dobago would have been voted for by New Lex/Baleghde and it wasn't in Addy's 'would have been' vote there so I think sadly that one was maybe destined not to make it and a victim of the alt/electronic vote having so much choice here.

I agree - I think this is one of the most unlucky semi results I've seen, both Cheiron and Altyr suffered from a particularly unusual set of circumstances playing out.

I'll keep it short since I'm so late reading this thread, but yay!! Justice for Ary achieved, indeed Semi 1 felt like a bloodbath and I wasn't sure how it'd do.

Very sad to see my 10-pointer (Thelonia / Mojave Grey) out, plus the former Thelonian artist Marian Hill out too :'( But I am looking forward to the final!

As with last year, nine nations make it through the year unscathed, and again with two nations falling at the final hurdle (last year it was my own nation and the current hosts who did so). Kluminican Republic expand their current record streak in consecutive contests again to 15 which now matches their record in non-consecutive contests.

Terra Avium set a new consecutive contests record of 7 in a row (and are now 1 short of their record in non-consecutive contests of 8 in a row achieved in BJSCs 112-116 & 118-120), as do Mothertopia on 6 in a row. Zanmatony and Flynnonda match their previous records of 8 and 4 respectively. Cheiron end on their record streak of 3 for a third time, and Deandria on theirs of 2 for a fifth time (or seventh time if counting back-to-back qualifiers in non-consecutive contests).

Ah sorry I totally forgot I hadn't posted this yet so thanks Jim magic

I'll double check the details / if anything else is missing later but from what I recall Flynnonda have also matched their previous record streak.

Obviously the Bøtanikkä situation has no precedent here, I've decided to count it as neither a qualifier or a DNQ so if they qualify again next month I'll count it as a streak of 2 in non-consecutive contests. (And if they DNQ it'll just be a DNQ streak of 1, not that I ever post DNQ streak stats but I do have them in my spreadsheet x)

Oops at 2 countries being denied the full house of qualifiers for the year at the last opportunity again x

Manifesting three Qs in a row for the first time for next year 😁 Maybe we can even do four (or more xo) if I manifest hard enough 🤭

Manifest = send stronger entries xo

Ah a shame for Jade and John to miss out at the final attempt 😢 but well done to all 9 of you who made it through every contest, good going!

Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!

Greenfroze is also the 17th country to ever qualify 20 consecutive contests at least once! Woohooo🥳

I've added underlines to Flynnonda and Zanmatony in my post above, happy to make other changes if found.

The other note I meant to add is that the non-consecutive run of 2 qualifiers for Lentyll (previously known as New Rivermaya) includes a gap of 157 contests - I'm not sure what the previous record gap is within a non-consecutive run, although I'm sure Bré has the stats somewhere!

Clearly Hendinia entries are the vaccines we didn't know we all needed to keep us alive!
