Can labels actually withhold this info? I'm guessing these would be from her website rather than Amazon as they usually don't hold anything back

They seem to have done so last week.

The fact Kylie Minogue is on track to have a christmas number one in 2025 fills me with delight!!!

It looks like we have an outcome already.

Even with no more sales, Kylie should be on 48.5k at the end of the week.

My current estimate for Wham! is around 44.8k - at any rate between 44k and 47k. Even with my highest estimates, Wham! would have no more than 49k or 50k really pushing it.

I don’t see any way that they can catch her now.

I’m always wonder how the estimated data for tomorrow, particularly from the weekend will Impact the overall estimate they’ll give for tomorrow?

But it is looking promising for Kylie.

We need her to do 53k, that way she will pass the 100k mark lol

Would that be the total figure for XMAS since release?

It does look strong for kylie but i wouldnt start celebrating just yet still a day and half left and it has made massive differences in the past when campaigns have been strong

You know how to rain on someone's parade lol

Would blow my mind if Kylie gets it but I wouldn't be surprised at Spotify trying to ruin it and prevent an Amazon exclusive from making headlines. Crossing everything for Kylie and an 8th Number 1 and first XMAS number 1!

We know Wham are missing a days streaming on Apple/Spotify, however, it looks like Kylie is safe for over 50k+ which I think will be hard for Wham to overcome.

Everyone is excited (for a god awful song) for Kylie but let’s all wait for the week 2 drop cos all you guys be buying this week only hahaha! Ellie 2.0

She better be! Now I have a vested interest with Paddy Power if she doesn't I'll cancel Kylie, I'll cancel Wham!, I'll cancel Christmas, I'll even cancel Jesus.

Me too I just put a bet on! Hoping for £125 payout on Friday! 🤞

1) I don't think anyone cares about a second week drop

2) It's unlikely to have a severe drop (if any at all) as Amazon streams are going to be the most powerful next week.

Week 2 drop will be fine, given it'll include actual Christmas and the next chart day will be Boxing Day - that'll be the period when any Christmas song should be gaining mass streams

Week 3 drop, as all Christmas songs will probably be big - but then its a Christmas song, so what would anyone expect it to do.

Nope! Next week could be even bigger sales - remember, Christmas Day isn’t until next Thursday.

Aren’t people excited at the prospect of us not having the same Christmas no.1 for the third year running? Something that felt like a foregone conclusion only a couple of weeks ago!

Who cares if the Kylie track is rubbish (I haven’t heard it yet so I don’t know) or that, like all Christmas songs, it drops out quickly? It’s showing us that there is still some hope and that Christmas no.1 can be exciting again. It used to be the best chart of the year. It’s been boring for some time. FairPlay to Kylie for mounting a challenge.

Have just spoken to OCC head guy Martin Talbot. I'm interviewing him for Metro.co.uk, an inside scoop on the reality of the race for Christmas number one this year - what it's like in the office, who he wants to get to number one this year, his favourite Christmas songs, what he thinks of old songs sticking around on the charts due to streaming. Piece should be going up Friday morning.

The OCC obviously can't change anything, they just to display the data they receive, but it seems their fingers are crossed for Kylie.
