Tbf think I listened to DHFC more in the last 24 hours than the last 3 years 😅 the charts don't tend to bother me as it's the only time I tend to listen to most of the old ones (outside of work and christmas day)

I think the first reporting of his death wernt until about 3pm yesterday, so most people won't of got the news until later on , it might have a bigger climb tomorrow

Well the first news story didnt come out until after 3pm so it would of only had 6 -8 hours to get a boost most people wouldn't of known until late on

It's best to temper expectation with in memorium climbs during Christmas, even if they're Christmas related. We're dealing with monumentally higher numbers than any other time of year and it's very difficult to disrupt the pre-established pecking order through deliberate searches. Even a very large 100K increase is going to look underwhelming when the top song is doing a million a day.

The Kelly Clarkson duet version of 'DJ Play a Christmas Song' is new on the Apple Music charts at #200, the original is at #74, could a top 40 entry be possible considering the song is still unaffected by ACR ?

Not 100% sure of this. Mariah is back to #1 on Christmas Hits with Wham! now #4. Dean Martin and Kelly should benefit at #2 and #3.

Unfortunately Chris Rea has been moved back down massively after being briefly moved near the top yesterday.

I think if they ask for one it will be denied sadly, other Christmas songs that have had resets requested have been refused in the past

Think it’d be a great number one in his memory, esp after it started its chart life at 45
