'Se A vida E' is a tune! But then most PSB songs are tunes.

I've always had a massive soft spot for 'Just A Step From Heaven', love everything about it ❤️

'I Need A Doctor' is legit one of my favourite rap songs of all time, I have so many memories attached to it. I can't get enough of that chorus. I gave it more than half of its points!

  • The cut off point has been reached! It's the same points score as last year. 101 singles had a points total greater than 61 points. There were two on 62 points so I've allowed them both through rathe

VOTING HAS NOW CLOSED Thanks to the 40 people who voted. The results will start this evening.

  • Having a slice of toast while watching the evening news in honour. “I Hear You Now” was a gorgeous discovery at the 80s hit sessions, but I couldn’t quite fit it into my votes.

Always had a soft spot for The Call, glad to see it get a good haul of points. No big losses for me in this latest batch though

The Gibson Brothers had a similarly titled single QUE SERA MI VIDA which got to #5 in early 1980.

That a-ha track is great, I love their second album where they went a bit more gothic in lyrical style. It’s quite Bond-esque as well I feel, perhaps even more so than their actual Bond track!

Miley Cyrus featuring Dua Lipa - Prisoner

Samantha Fox - Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now

Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry

Pink - Walk Me Home

In 1987, this Stock, Aitken and Waterman written song gave Samantha Fox her third and final top 10 hit. Four years later, Don't Cry was a fifth top 10 single for Guns N' Roses. Pink still has one song left.

I wonder did anyone buy it by mistake as it has nearly the same name as the Starship #1 single at the same time!

I definitely prefer Samantha Fox's debut though, I assume it didn't do well on the #3s rate though - tough competition!

'Don't Cry' only on 46 points? That's criminal! They certainly don't make rock ballads like that anymore. That was my 29-pointer so once again I gave it more than half its points!

Love 'Walk Me Home' but I can see why it didn't do overly well. Fingers crossed 'Try' makes it through as that's one of her absolute best!

The Pogues and The Dubliners - The Irish Rover

Portishead - All Mine

Portishead had five top 40 hits from 1994 to 1998 and this was the only one to reach the top 10. The Irish Rover goes back to the 19th Century with the combined talents of The Pogues and The Dubliners updating it in 1987, 20 years after the latter group had reached number 7 with 'Seven Drunken Nights'.

Nooo! No one would have done that.

However, Starship was the first single I bought.

And agreed - Touch Me is one of my all-time favourites. But I love Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now - so it’s my highest ranked single to fall out so far.

There are several of my top 30 that haven’t gone yet, but I can’t believe they’ve got more than 50 points! I don’t recall many of them getting votes from more than one other person.

I am sure by the end of next week we will know who has qualified for the next round.

"All Mine" is pretty good but I feel it is an inferior "Glory Box" so didn't bother voting for it. "Don't Cry" just missed out on points from me again!
